View Full Version : HELP! Usernotes are being taken over.

Yeah, for some reason when I am in someones usernotes every username takes me to the one persons profile, for example in Daryl's it takes me to Necronopticous' profile. And mine have been taken over by Caspain :(

I am a very insecure little girl and I am deeply worried about this.

Whenever I click on someone else in my Usernotes it just keeps taking me back to myself.

EDIT: Strange. It used to take me back to my own Profile, but now, regardless of who I click onto, I get Meat Puppet. :cat:

So it isn't just me then.
It seems to change each page as well, a different user owns each page.

Well, to see what you guys were talking about, I checked it out too, and it seems that clicking on a username brings up the profile of the second to last person on that page who gave a user note. But it could just be me.

I think you're right because my second to last person of that page is Meat Puppet.

interesting to note:

if you look inthe source, all the proper names are where they should be.

Is it a javascript/AJAX problem or something actually in the PHP code?

well, I don't really know in a PHP context, but in my experience testing code through my job, when a single value is continually carried over into the wrong place over and over again, it either means the value call is directed to a single place rather than a variable location, or it means the variable is not reset after being assigned once. In this case it's probably the former and not the latter since it always seems to pick the second to last poster on the page even if that poster has not been selected already.

EDIT: well technically I guess AOL and IE are not exactly the same thing but they're pretty much the same except AOL is much more craptacular :rolleyes2

Denffe at least Firefox shows the pop up menu on more than just the first post.
