I'm just starting the Chocograph game, I've just gotten the first chocograph treasure.

What I'm most interested in is getting Zidane's Ultima Weapon, and I know where to get it, I just need the Dead Pepper, and, well, an upgraded chocobo.

So do I just have to go through all the chocographs, until I get a sea chocobo, and then go for the Ultima Weapon?

How long are we talking here.......a few hours of straight chocograph hunting?

Do I find all the chocograph stones in the chocobo forest?

mene will tell you when the forest is out of graphs
thats when u move on to the next place
and u do 6 there
then back to the forest for another 6
and then back to the other place for another few
and then a new place for the last ones

well ur going to have to get the Reef and Mountain Chocobo before the Sea chocobo.

And u transform every 6 chocographs so...

yep, that'll take quite a bit of time.

you only have to dig up 6 chocographs. you dont have to find the tresure each one locates wich speeds it up. but its your choice. i got the gold chocobo in about 3-4 hours then took 10 mins finding the ultima weapon. when i got it it only did 3k damage all that work for a crappy weapon. how do ya power it up.

ps im plying thought just at gismalukes grotto any tips on beating the boss?

if u have Quina than itll make it easier
have Freya jump, ziddy attack, vivi cast thunder, and quina attack and heal

and trust me as u get more powerful so will the Ultima Weapon
eventually ull be able to do 7-8k

Isn't it rated at increasing your attack by 100, where the Orichalcon increases your attack by 71? This should increase your attacks.

I think it depends on what skills you have equipped and what type of enemy your fighting, i.e. Dragon Killer for fighting dragons, man eater for fighting men, Bug Killer for fighting bugs, etc.

MP attack also gives you a nice boost in attack power. Eats away your MP very quickly, though.

I used a tent on him right at the start of the battle, because it causes a bunch of status effects. But it also heals 9999 so do it at the start.

Haha, I remember phoning the help number in the back of my FFIX instruction manual for that strategy.

Instead of wasting a tent on old Gizamaluke just use Soul Blade with Zidane. You have to have the Ogre weapon though (just buy it in Lindblum). Soul Blade will blind Giz and make most of his physical attacks useless and that means less healing.

Go play Chocobo Hot and Cold, dig out the treasures.


Start out by playing your game in the Chocobo's Forest.

Keep digging until there's no more Chocograph left. The last Chocograph you will get is Chocograph #4, which will let Choco gain the Reef Ability.

Get your Reef Ability first.

Go to Chocobo's Lagoon. keep digging until there's no more Chocograph left. The last Chocograph you will get is Chocograph #12, which will let Choco gain the Mt(Mountain) Ability

Get your Mt Ability first.

Go to Chocobo's Forest. Keep digging until there's no more Chocograph left. The last Chocograph you will get is Chocograph #14,which will let Choco gain the Ocean Ability.

Get your Ocean Ability first.

Go to Chocobo's Lagoon. Keep digging for the remaining Chocographs and Chocograph pieces. Once you have all the six Chocograph pieces,
Chocograph #20 will appear, which will let Choco gain the Sky Ability.

Get your Sky Ability first.

Solve the 'mystery' of the six Chocograph pieces. Find Chocobo's Air Garden.

Dig in Chocobo's Air Garden to find the last three Chocographs.

Maybe, it is the time to search for the Dead Pepper treasures. Or you might visit to Fat Chocobo in Chocobo's Paradise.

Not all of the time. I can't remember what the chances are, but make sure to save as close to the boss as you can, just in case it dosen't work.

What does a dead pepper actually do?

If you give it to a chocobo over bubbles in the sea or in front of cracks in the rocks, it will find the treasures hidden there. If you give it to your chocobo while flying under the shadow indicated on the map, you can go to the place where you find the last chocographies and fight Ozma.

You do it by playing the Chocobo Hot and Cold. There's a chest that you get that'll transform you.

GAHHH!!! i dug up all ten choco graphs in choco's forest, and all mene said was that there waen't anymore!! how do i transform choco!?!?!?!
Just go find the chocographs. The one you need to find to transform Choco is Healing Shores. That one will get you the Reef Chocobo
