Okay i've always been one of those girls who are like "i wont date a guy in a band" Well that's how i was in journior high, now i'm a sophmore and 3 out of 4 guys i've crushed on/dated are in a band and play guitars. and the one that doesn't is friends with people who are in bands. I don't know what it is but i am just attracted to those kind of guys(plus ones a senior ^.^)

So to give this a reason why oh why are those guitarist so damn sexy!?

They're not. You may think you're attracted to the guitar players, but really, your subconcious is only trying to get you to the drummer though them.

The lesson here: give up on those talentless hacks who couldn't keep a steady beat if you implanted a metronome in their skull and do what everyone secretly wants to do; date the drummer. :D

The attraction to guitarists could begin with the subconcious urge to gain fame or money through a lover. Recognition by association. Because we all know that people in bands are just way cooler than all the rest of us. :eyeroll:

(I play guitar... classical though. Electric Classic, kinda like Appocalyptica... only opposite... because they're more Classic Metal(Electric).

I've dated a couple of musicians. It drove me crazy to be honest. I swore that I'd never date another musician ever again. They are totally self obsessed, and as I was a musician, (I've finally started writing songs again) I found them to be really competitive and faecetal like at times.

I'd say that has little to do with them being musicians. Some people are just jerks, end of story. I've met few musicians myself who are totally self absorbed, or competitive about it. Maybe it's just because I'm a musician, but I've found a lot of the guys I talk to I can have pretty serious discussions with about all aspects of music, whether we agree or not, and I don't really know anyone who's competitive about music. Most of the people I talk to (especially those who are more serious about music) are more interested in sharing their knowledge; learning from and teaching others and that sort of thing.

Ha that would be true IF my best friend wasn't dating him. But honestly i don't like him that much. Well as a friend but i'd never see me and him together.

Being able to play the guitar/bass is a plus but i think if they are in a band it shows that they are a bit more outgoing. I mean to get infront of people and play tht has to take guts. Also it doesn't just make you hot cause you play a guitar but it still counts if your a nice guy or not. Yet it does get you further in with a girl if you play it.
