I've known a lot of people who really liked Beatrix. Perhaps not as many here, but people I know seem to like her. I thought she was okay, but not a favorite. So tell me, all you Beatrix lovers, why do you like her?

to tell the truth, I thought she was a bitch the first time I met her in the game, but she's good at heart, and in the end she helps the party much more than she hurts it. Her moves also kick ass.

I just like almost all female characters that are strong. I don't like weak, whiny female characters. Beatrix kicked butt.

i dont realy like beatrix. the omly decent thing is her theme tune but lots of FF9 tunes are better.

To be honest, I never found her to be that interesting. She does have one of the "Themes" in the game: "Rose of May".

She's the first female character in a FF game who's given a "class" that isn't physically weak.You mean like a class that is obvious? Because there is Yuffie (who is a ninja) and Tifa (Who you could say was a monk). And in II or V you can give the girls whatever class you like.

Even if he discounted those examples (which I could understand), or Terra and Celes in FFVI, the fact remains that Agrias and Meliadoul were given very powerful and specifically defined Knight-type classes (Holy Knight and Divine Knight, respectively) in FFT.

Anyway, Beatrix is awesome. More than probably any other character in FFIX, she has an "invincible mystique," and her character is genuinely interesting.

I hated her in the beginning cause you could be on level 400000 and she would still kick your ass, but then when she helped dagger in the end I started to like her...

Part of the reason she's cool is that she'd punk off your entire party at every turn for the first two disks, afterwards I found the sub-plot of her and steiner hooking up to be hilarious and very humorous. During the air battle with the dragons, one of the knights says something about her involvement with steiner and almost gets thrown out of the airship for his verbal slip. Comic relief plus badass mystique = a likeable character in my opinion.

beatrix is probably one of the best girls in the ff series. most of the girls are whiny, weak, and are just plain annoying. Beatrix is one of the few exceptions to this. Her moves rock and she isn't the whiny-extra baggage type.

Eh, not too far in the game (started DISC 3)so not reading all this..

Beatrix, while I had her, was pretty good... I didn't find much use in her spells and technially she is the only character whom has both potent strength and magic. But she is TOO powerful, she's just a temporary...
