to make Zell deal 9999 dmg? i had him n the second cd with str + 40 & 20 and he had str junction and had 255 str
but he deal about 5k dmg with each atack

5000 damage is the normal amount for 255 strength.if you get a critical hit it will to 9999 but sqalls the strongest because if you pull the trigger he can do 8000 damage per turn if his strength is 255. i suppose you could get summons and spells to do 9999. and eden can do over 9999 damage so its a good summon to have.

It depends on the monster you're fighting. Weak ones will allow Zell to do 9999 damage, while stonger ones will not.

And it depends on what you have junctioned to Elem-Atk-J, and what the monters weakness. for instance, try junctioning 100X Firaga to Elem-Atk-J when fighting Malboros and Ochus.

it only works with sqall because his weapon actually has a trigger.

In which case, not pulling the trigger means no attack at all. Squall's weapon has a trigger and a non-trigger aspect.

and about those triggers atacks, they're possible with every character(tried it), it was something like a controled critical hit, i did it with quistis, selphie, and even (hmm 4/10 hits) its hard doing it with those characters

I think you can only press R1 to inflect more damage w/ Squall and Seifer,who happen to be the only players in the game who use gunblades.Think about it,why would you be given a tutorial for Squall only if even those who don't use gunblades'd be able to inflect heavier damage?

Ummmm... no- I'm very sure your wrong. With such low hitting probability it probably just had criticals those hits. I could be wrong, but I definitely think you are.

Rinoa can easily do 9999 damage with Angel Wing.

And I'd bet Squall or any other high strength character could do 9999 damage with Beserk status inflicted, as often happens in battles with Marlboros . . .
