View Full Version : Could you be more realistic when moderating eoeo?

I dont like to go to this level of ranting but I really dont think my recent ban was called for. I made a normal post giving my opinion on the "is it better to have loved and lost" thread and then I attatched this image *attatches*which didnt really have anything to do with the post, it was a bit of humour on the same level as any harmless joke every staff member has typed at some point in eoeo/eotw. I'll put my life on that statement. Mine stood out more because it was an image Im guessing. Now my image didnt insult anyone. Literally no one was insulted by this, show pornography or really do anything wrong at all. Even if I cant have my ban removed can I at least be told the staff will be more realistic when handing out bans. This image was about as offensive as :choc2:
I dont understand how Im supposed to know wether an image is suitable or not depending on what a CK is thinking when they see it. Does anyone agree with me even a little?A

And since when has making a joke automatically been spam?

You see that is because you can't have fun in EoEO or EotW...which is of course because people have a stick up their ass.

What the hell is wrong with that? It's not inappropriate (hell, it's actually good advice), and it's not just like he just posted that and left it at that. It was a small humorous follow-up to a serious post.

Certain privileges are disabled when you are Eoeo banned. Consider this an incentive to not misbehave.

Topics in that forum are sensitive and that is why you were banned for posting that image. There is a zero tolerance policy for spam and nonsense posting in that forum. Maybe it wasn't so bad as it is being portrayed, but don't worry it is only two weeks. If you will put your life on something you said at a message board, then maybe you can use the break anyway. We'll take your objections into consideration when discussing further action.

I think a thread about the strictness of policy in the Eoeo forum would be fine for Feedback, but somehow I think you only wanted to talk about your own ban, and even if you didn't that's what this thread will end up being anyway. So I'm going to close it. Please pm a staff member in the future if you wish to discuss your ban.

While I feel Destai has made a valid point, I also have to mention that whenever we "lighten up" on zero tolerance, people just start pushing the boundaries further and further until it's all back to square one.
