Do you have a job? If so what do you do? How much do you get paid? What do youl ike or hate about it?

I got a job at a McDonalds. I do pretty much anything in the kitchen like make fries, burgers, and other foods. I get paid 5.50 an hour but I'm getting a raise in a few days. I do like the fact that the people I work with aren't bloody morons. The only qualm I have is my sexist manager who makes all of the men do the hard work and make all of the women do easy stuff and take cigarette breaks every half hour, and when somebody orders saltless french fries. If you order food from McDonalds do NOT order saltess fries, if you do I will come to your house, cut out your liver, and feed it to a rabid amazn man-eating dolphin.

You actually got a job? I'm impressed.

I don't have a job right now. I really wish I did. I was planning on heading down and getting me a teaching assistant job this week, but my car's busted so I have to wait until I get it back. I do get enough financial aide to cover my bills, but I'm getting married soon so not having my own income is getting a bit frustrating. My fiance started a new job at PC Club a few days ago though, and he's making pretty good money, so maybe he'll start buying my love with things soon. :D

I'm a courier for a business that's recently branched out (unwillingly, thanks to a fire in the main plant). $65 per trip, which is approximately the distance covered one way per trip (about 130 miles round-trip). I'm just thanking whoever that gas prices are returning to "normal"...

The only thing I hate about it is the stupid truck convoys that clog up the interstate that I usually drive on...

Over the summer and Christmas, I write software.

The rest of the time, I'm a fulltime student (with a number of hobbies, some of which involve writing software)

I work as a Data Control Coordinator and right now I'm making $38,000 a year. You guys would probably be interested in my previous job the most, though...VIDEO GAME TESTER! That job was pretty sweet...except when they put me on Tonka Workshop or some other kid game for months at a time:mad2:

Full-time university student, but I'm also a resident assistant in one of the halls. Don't actually get paid, but I get a 50% discount on hall fees. Not a bad deal.
Just gotta help the place run smoothly, basically: unlocking and locking doors; helping newbies get used to uni life, homework, study and whatnot; preventing drunk imbeciles from hurting themselves or waking up everyone else at four in the morning.
My contract terminates next month, when the hall closes at the end of the academic year. During the summer, I'll *hopefully* be assisting in some academic legal research; failing that, I'll get a larbouring-type job to last me until next year.

Officially I am the Assistant Concierge Manager for a 4 star hotel and casino. Unofficially I joke and say that my title is professional butt kisser. But I actually enjoy my job alot. I am paid enough. :p The company that I work for actually does pay for our medical benefits. If you're hourly, they pay for just you. If salaried, they pay you, your spouse, and four dependents. That helps keep me pretty happy.

I go to school full time and work part time for the ITS office making sure all the systems are up to date around campus, surveying out the old systems, and adding the new ones to the network. A little bit of everything. I very much enjoy it because it gives me incredible freedom. Some days I don't have much work, so I'll just read for classes or come online. I get paid well enough, but I could get paid more for what I do.

I have no job, because I'm a loser. I'm a full-time college student living off my savings, Tuition Assistance, grants, Financial Aid, Montgomery GI Bill, stuff like that. About once a month I have a drill, which is two days and I keep maybe $150 from (after taxes, life insurance, Social Security, etc.), which ain't too bad, but I'll probably get a job sometime soon.

I work at an investment bank. I was going to get a second job at a traditional bank, but this interviewer never told me the time of my interview. I'm still waiting to hear from her.

If she doesn't get back to me, I'll just have to find another way to get that same job, but I have my eye on it — and I'll get it, too!

I'm a full time college student, but I also work in the college mailroom, doing stuff like sorting mail, assisting customers, and pickups/deliveries. I get paid $7.75 and hour, which wouldn't be bad if they allowed me to work more than 12.5 hours a week. :(

I'm an account manager for an insurance first report center. Basically we run a call center to take insurance claims over the phone and from faxes, and I work with the insurance companies that hire us to take their claims in addition to conceiving and maintaining database and system solutions that keep our customers happy blah blah blah. My pay is decent but not great considering how much work I do and how much business I bring in.

I'm at work right now and I shouldn't even be reading or typing in this thread because I've got too much work to do, but I needed a break.

I type. A lot. I produce two newsletters for a multi-level Care Home, as well as Council minutes, manuals, brochures, handbooks, etc. and this week has been crazy trying to do it with a computer that won't cooperate. They'll be working on it tomorrow, but that doesn't help me any today. I also relieve for Payroll.

I really like my job for the most part and the people here are all great. I get paid $18.81 per hour plus benefits, which is 15% less than what I made last year because they cut our wages. That part sucks.

I work at a lumberyard. I'm the yard forman. I'm in charge of the actual yard, everyone working there, and making sure everything gets done. I also do a lot of deliving of the lumber and materials as we are fairly short staffed right now. My job has a lot of variety but also at times a lot of physical labor. Some days it is really hectic and I want to rip my hair out. I've been there for over four years now.
