Why do you think 7 is considered best FF.

I think one reason is because final fnatasy 7 was the first of the season to bring it out of the Medieval time base.

thats true. i do enjoy FFs with a cross between technnology and ancient magic and stuff. not a very huge percentage think FF7 is the best.I prefer FF8 and 9 cause there more developed and complex.

If you mean Medieval than continue reading
if u meant something else than dont bother reading

it was more of a futuristic type of world
I mean they had Mako Reactors, Junon explains it self, and rockets to space
the older ff were all "Medieval"
and the only newer one that was kind of Medieval was FF9

I always thought FFVI was the one to break the mold, it was in 2D so didnt show well I guess
I think a reason why FFVII was good was the characters...oh and Midgar

It was the first FF to launch on the PSX, and actually one of the first titles to launch on the console period. The PSX was hugely popular upon release, and completely overrided anything that went before it. Bring the two together, and you get millions of people exposed to FF for the first time, and as we all know the first time is always the best.

i think the storyline is wot did it. it so complex and intertwining, people r even confused to this day!? :D and also the magic system is the best, i think

its story is not as confusing as ff9s, which was something about souls and 10s, which was something about i dont really know

Because it was the first FF that most people played. The incidence of people who got started with the series before that and stuck with it is really rather low. That and it had FMVs.

yes but even now the original games have been remade with FMV's it is still the best?
