Favorite GF

Hey guys! Theres prolly a thousand threads about this, but I want to share with you guys my favorite GF's in FF8. I honestly think Doomtrain is really awesome when hes summoned, and his abilities (call junkshop, forbidden medicine, stat def X4, etc) makes things way better. I also enjoy going and fighiting Ultima Weapon every now and then, but he isnt a GF. Also, fighting Cactaur is prolly one of the funest things in the game. And my 3rd favorite is Bauhamut. There is prolly no better GF in the game (skillwise). I mean look. He has mag and str +60%, rare item, forbidden mag, another mug, and ability X4. So im just curious. What are your guys favorite GF and waht are your reasons?

Its difficult for me to say, because I can't remember most of them, I think maybe my favorie is Ifrit, thats only cos I got him leveled up a lot, so he was best for me. But there's probably another one I like better, but I can't remember!

Eden, Alexander, Diablos, Pandemona, Bahamut and Shiva were my favorites. If I had to pic an ultimate favorite out of these then probably Eden.

aeons aren't all that original. They still have shiva, ifrit, bahamut, and the magus sisters.

I was going to put Anima in my top favorite GF's but it's not really a GF and it looks like a slave.

Um...(someone please tell me what he's talking about). I also like the GF Doomtrain, because it was an actually train looking thing! Who made up the idea for that...thing...wow.

3) Eden: The summon animation rocks, its abilities are good and it's just plain awesome. :cool:
4) Doomtrain: Kickass abilities, kickass overall summoning move (causes all bad status effects) and cool animation. :cool:
5) Diablos: Just looks so darn cool. :cool:

GFs weren't created by people. Dr. Odine just created the means to junction them and enable a person to use paramagic.

Bahamut of course!, he's my fav not because he gives you str 60% etc, but hes the King Of Dragons, hes so cool and he has lasted the series.. If you play the game right aswell you dont even need to use the STR add-ons. I even summon Bahamut even though my character attacks are stronger, just because hes the best

Completely agree with that one (not that I actually ever depended on it, it's still the best)

But I also liked Eden for one specific reason... if you don't want to waste time beating omega the 'regular battle' way again, just use Aura and hero (just in case) on Selphie, and summon him... you get about 2-3 minutes to get The End in slot!

Alexander and Shiva are my favorite. Alexander is soo unique and different. Shiva is just a classic and her beauty is flawless. What more could ya want.

Not only is Bahamut my fav in FF8 but in all FF hes in, though the best design of Bahamut i think was in 9 when watching him the FMVs', he just look so good

Ultima has much less HP, Omega has about 5 - 10 times more and therefore takes that much longer to beat the normal way, Ultima is quite simple to beat the normal way with meltdown, meteor, and a lot of str / mag. (phoenix helps a lot, too if it uses light pilar 4-5 times in a row )

Eden takes too long to summon, so using it on a regular basis for its attack is too anoying, you can summon cactuar about 5 times in the time it takes to summon eden, and most likely do more damage (on lvl 100)

Omega has 500,000HP, Anyways...

Ultima, Squall drawed Eden, made Rinoa use 1 Aura on Squall, Zell use meltdown on Ultima and Squall just worked away at him, no need to use magic, GFs'. Most of my parties main stats were over 200, easy to beat Ultima like that. Only thing Ultima use was Gavija and i just used Recover with Rinoa.

Omega will be easy when i get to him too. I dont use summons, my partys speed is high enough to get in like 4 hits before his turn. The only summon i use is Odin and that only because i have no choice.

Maybe i should of Captured it on my PC, ill do it for Omega though.
