Unfortunately, it is more or less confirmed that the North American release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is delayed... for the third time. I spoke with a local distributor and they informed me that it has been delayed till January 10, 2006. This is reinforced by the changed date on AnimeNation's website and several other site's news.

The reason, however, is unknown, but all we know (this part is rumor) is that unlike the other delays which was decided by Square-Enix, this delay was handed down by Sony instead (probably Sony Pictures as they may be the "publisher").

Well atleast we know they aren't making a quick port over to the USA. They are taking their time as they should. For those of you who can't wait just import the Japanese version. It is just as good and it is a blast to hear Cloud speak Japanese. :D

Isn't a delay from September to November long enough? now to January! This isn't on this, why the fuck did sony do this!?

Eh.. you're lucky. The UK are gonna get it way after you guys... I don't believe we even HAVE a release date yet.

I wonder if we'll get Last Order at this rate. Though I'd be a pissy little japanese person if I payed lotts of money for something exclusive to the special edition and other people got it free.

This will sound selfish, but I'm actually glad its coming out Jan. 10. I won't have enough to buy it for myself at that time (Christmas presents will take all my money) and since its coming out six days after my birthday, I'll get it with my birthday money.

Man I hate delays, good thing I got the movie already burned on cds, just need to buy the japanese version now. :D
