If you had a Monkey's Paw to wish with, would you use it? What 3 (because in the story, it's only 3 wishes, not 5) wishes would you wish if you decided to use it? xD
I'm expecting funny answers.

Well I would wish I had infinite wishes but I take it thats not allowed so Id wish to have everything exactly how I want it. Thats only one wish and it gets me everything I want! :bigbiggri
I would wish for all those never ending things.
A wallet that never runs out of money, a bottle that never runs out of drink...
and..well I'd probably save the last wish for the future.

I'll make a wish that can't backfire. I wish for a turkey sandwich, on rye bread, with lettuce and mustard, and, -- AND -- I don't want any zombie turkeys, I don't want to turn into a turkey myself, and I don't want any other weird surprises. You got it?

You guys are forgetting the catch to it. Whatever you wish for may not come the way you wish. Usually it will cause strife to someone close to you. In a way the wishes are zero-sum. To grant your wish they take something from someone else. Like in the story they wished for money, and they got some. Yet their son died in a facotry accident and they got compensation for it. Or something like that...*last time he read it was in grade 8*

I wouldn't need a three. I'd proceed to shoot myself in the past and see whether or not the universe is destroyed. If it happens to go pop one day, you know I've had that monkey paw.
1. For everybody who isn't evil, twisted psycho's to live long and happy lives.
2. To live a happy life myself.
I'd save the third till later. :)

I hate this story. The negative affects the paw causes is just so lame. I think that the paw should have just killed it's owner in the end, but no, it had an unsatisfactory result of killing his son and destroying his income and blah. The story just sucks.

1. Ultimate power. Like, authority, or magic, or whatever -- like I say "poof" and something happens, whether I make it happen or somebody else does for me. (And, of course, I'd be the only one with this power.)
2. Security in that power. So nobody can take it away, and I can't lose it.
3. Others being content with me having this power. So nobody's pissed or jealous or anything, and when I say "POOF, I want some blondes, now," they actually want me too ;) .

1) unlimited resources for people
2) necessaties for life found on other planets (therefore more space when population rises
3) no bloodshed due to random arguments such as religion, poiltics, money, etc...

A talking monkey that respects me and listens to me and is awesome but will never betray me or overthrow me that can play video games and will throw poop at intruders and is invincible, but not immortal, and that the last wish i made would never backfire in any negative way. Then i would save my last wish.

Wish 1- To be able to accomplish my goals so my parents will be proud of me.
That is all I want right now.
If my wishes would not come out screwed up like they do with Monkey Paws, I would use one for 1 thing at the moment, though I don't feel like sharing it. xD
I dunno if what I saw was a movie on the book, I haven't read the book, or if it was about a myth that had the same idea as the book. But the thing I saw on monkey paws, once you have your wishes granted, you could NEVER say "I wish..." in even an off-handed manner or your wishes would all be cancelled.
Though if there were no side effects... there's only one wish I'd need granted. The one of the heart.

I've read the "Monkey's Paw" and I've seen Bedazzled (Damn, I love that movie) and I know the negative effects of wishes....... Oh well.:D
1. The power to control the minds of everyone.
2. World domination.
3. .... I don't know... A hamburger..... With no mustard.... Or pickles. I hate pickles....
