has there ever been an actual sighting of the guys behind the anime?
dont get me wrong
the cartoon thing is a great original idea
but still i wonder what they look like...

and theyre a really good band too

They? It's one man only. The whole cartoon was exciting 4 years ago, now it's just tedious.

Damon Albarn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Albarn#Gorillaz) and Jamie Hewlett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Hewlett) are the two creators of the band. The former being the only permanent musician in the band and the latter being in charge of art.

And it's not anime.

The group has appeared to do live shows, but only in some sort of projected form I think.

All those drums and beats can't all be the doing of one man, its gotta be more then one, or else each individual song will take quite a long time to make...
Oh, does he animmate the animation or someone else, if it is someone else, can anyone tell me whom?

Damon Albarn is the ONLY permanent musician, however they collaborate with other musicians for each song. Although these people do contribute they often only play in one song and are therefore NOT members of the band.

http://www.gorillaz-unofficial.com/biography/realpeople.htm is a full list of everybody who has worked on a Gorillaz song. As you can see most of them are only involved in one song or Album.


Animation is handled by Jamie Hewletts own company "Zombie Flesh Eaters" http://www.zombie.uk.com/
