Yes you can have horror movies, i said;
Most movie openings are dull, except horror movies, meaning that most are dull but horror movies openings are.. I'll just delete that to avoid confusion..

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Kill Bill vol. 1, and Requiem for a Dream had good intro sequences.

Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Every Buddy-cop-action movie that has them busting people on some unrelated crime before the new guy comes in to cramp their style, those're fantastic.

Since I can't really think of any movies with openings that I've really noted, I'll just say Star Wars, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I hate it when a movie opening is too long, and doesn't do anything interesting, like Spiderman 1
But my FAVE opening.......hmmmm...........I think the Lion King ^_^ heh heh

I'm pretty sure all of the Matrix films had good openings, and Star Wars. Other than that, I can't think of any.

Battle Royale, because I recently watched it and I'm completely biased towards it.

Although, bias or not, the smiling winner is great.

Scary Movie 2's opening was great, the rest of the movie sucked. Super Troopers was one of the funnies Openings - bar none.

umm definantley scream 1 yeh that made me laugh! But Monty Python life of Brian now there is an opening squence made me laugh for like 10 minutes! (well the whole film did lol):)
