Well, I finally did it. I erased my CC game save. I was on the final battle with Raem and I couldn't take it. My dude would die almost immediately and I couldn't handle it. This was the last straw for me. I really wanted to beat the game but I couldn't do it.

I was going to throw a hissy fit about all the things that were terrible about this game, but I'll hold off. This isn't the thread for that.

So, what I'm wondering is, if I am ever brave/stupid enough to try this game again, how do I make my dude uber? There seems to be no real pattern on how your dude gets stronger.

So, whats the best way to power up? What character should I be? What weapon should I shoot for?

Keep in mind - I'm playing this solo.

It depends on what you want to excel at.

Yep. And to train, repeat levels that don't have Myrrh tons of times!

But don't you need levels with Myrrh to raise your stats?

When you complete the level or the ones you find in treasure chests? Because the treasure chest ones are only used in the level you're in

Sorry -> I've been away and haven't been able to catch up with my own thread!:mad2:

Anyways, I really don't care what direction I go. Lets just say I like to use my sword a lot. That would work for me.

Umm, how do you use an artifact without collecting myrrh? I though you got an artifact and if you pick it at the end of the board, it becomes permanent.

Hmm, obviously, I'm missing something huge here.

Say you do a level/ find one in treasure chests. Getting myrrh or not doesn't matter. You can choose one between the ones you got in the level if you already got it. The one you choose- the one you keep forever. Do it over again to make your character strong!

But you still have to beat the enemy at the end of the level, correct?

remember, this FF game will screw with you battle mechanic wise.

people seem to complain about this game because they reckon its battle system sucks.... yet i hear they dont complain about the "Mana" series, which is a crap version of this (except storyline, they kinda own there).

i repeat the early stages to gather as many of those little statue things, makeing you powerful.
