Im very selective what anime I watch. I usually sample a series that comes highly recommended and if it seems pretty good and Im interested I'll probably obsess over it until I see all the episodes, the movie, the spin off or whatever. So far I've went through .hack//SIGN which I bought all the episodes of on a cheap three set dvd, Cowboy Bebop which I watched all the episodes and movie by borrowing my friends dvd's. And right now Im workin on Evangelion. I have the all three movies in a beautiful box set and Im starting to buy the newly released platinum collection. I have no.2 in the collection and I've ordered no.3 and 5 from Amazon.

I like anime. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any good animes lately (the good old days where Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing, Card Captor Sakura, Dragon Ball and Inu-Yasha were all on TV at the same time just don't seem to come back anymore), but I'm waiting to see if someone will be smart enough to bring an enjoyable one soon. All of them are fun to watch (mostly due to "cute" humor), hardly boring (because of the fighting scenes and character development), and offer good music and plot.

I recomend Blood+ and Black Cat, two new series that are very good.

I think I watch too much, especially since I like to keep up with like several series or so at the same time as soon as possible after they've aired, which makes for downloading too many raws and eating a few GB of HD each week :p

.hack//sign isn't for everyone. It can move rather slowly, and it is a very story-driven plot. The artwork and the music is amazing and as a whole I enjoy the series quite a bit.

I liked Dragonball Z until I couldn't stand how they let one frickin battle last an entire weeks worth of episodes. Now I just watch InuYasha, Full Metal Alchemist, and I used to watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex when it was on adult swim. By the way, anyone know when they are bringing that back to adult swim?

Anime is great. I love it, especially Chobits, Cowboy Bebop and Tenchi.

I also love the anime movie "Spirited Away". For those who haven't seen it - I recommend it, but watch the japanese version, not the english dub.

Also the movie Metropolis is worth seeing, along with the Cowboy Bebop movie.

Infact it just keeps getting worse...and they take off all the really good shows, yet leave the tacky soaps running!! Why is that? :eep:

I download anime like a cow. I download and read manga more though. Seems like every anime is a watered-down version of a really good manga that usually comes to some unsatisfactory ending right in the middle of the manga. For example, the Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) manga is awesome, and the anime is balls. Same with Ai<img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif">eru ze Baby.

Right now the manga I'm reading is called Akuma de Sourou. ^_^

I like very few anime. My list includes Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Shell, and Evangelion. Pop anime is absolutely horrible. Digimon, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, most of the Gundam series, and especially Dragonball all stand out as examples of terrible anime.

Now if it's hentai you're talking about, any anime with hot chicks rules. Which is almost all of them.

But I've been a fan of Sailor Moon for over 10 years.
And I own all the manga and anime of Fruits Basket.
So I'm pretty hardcore about those two series.

i claim to be the biggest sailor moon fan on this forum! It is a great show and the dub was crap to the original (but this applies to all anime )
and i have seeveral sailor moon musicals and all 5 seasons muahaha!!

and the most perfect short anime i have seen is pita ten. it is so adorablre!!

unfortunately, i have dial up (puke now if you must) , so downloading anime isnt an option. plus, im amish to computers, so i have no clue how those file sharing programs work.(although i have downloaded alot of the opening/closing songs for animes. )

i havent seen any good anime lately, i loved when toonami (back when it was on weekdays...) had rurouni kenshin, dragonball, yu yu hakusho, and justice league (well...thats not really a japanese anime, but it still kicked ass:p ) were all on at the same time.

but...they were dubs...even worse...cut dubs. and i tend to like really violent bloody animes...sigh...

Channels 1-5 are terrible. They took off Nip/Tuck and Six feet under to show Friends re runs on 4. 5 is just porn, BBc1 and 2 have turned horribly dated, WE DONT WANT ANYMORE SONGS OF PRASE.

anime is ok even though inuyasha does sucks and its so damn cliched. But even though inuyasha ruins the naime category many other anime's redeem it. Such as Solty Rei, Mushishi, Bleach, Eyeshield 21, FLCL, Nadesico, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Tsubasa Chronicles, Black Cat, Paradise Kiss, and Beck.

I'm currently watching Serial Experiments Lain. I'm currently up to Layer 08. My head. It hurts so much. I wish I could find the rest of the Hellsing manga. It's so much better than the show.

I agree, the dubbed version is terrible.
I also own all 5 seasons in Japanese with English subtitles.
I have the sera myu (musicals) too but it isn't subtitled so I don't understand it.
And I have all the manga, a couple of posters, a few shirts, and a doll or two.
So yeah we might be tied for biggest Sailor Moon fan.
