Does anybody know if the actual game will have voice acting?

How good is it?

Does the hero talk at all? If it's a DQ game most likely it's a silent protagonist who's name and gender you can choose yourself.

Silent protagonist, but you are forced to play with a male lead that looks like a coss between Gohan and Serge!

The demo ****ing rules. The real game will probably ruin my social life.

I ment the voice acting. It's a DQ game so it's unquestionably good.

The voice acting is fine. Most voices do have some sort of accent, though.

Are they still going to stomp about like they're mad about life? (haven't played since 6)

I wasn't blown away by the voice acting in the demo but it didn't bother me either. Assuming the full game is just like the demo I would say the voice acting is generally pretty good.

The voice acting is pretty good. Yangus's voice is very familiar sounding.

I just played the full version for about four hours. Good times. The epic feel of the game is wonderful. I'm liking this game a lot!

reportedly the japanese version didnt have voice acting, so the translation crew decided that to keep a more light hearted tone, they would hire british soap opera actors to voice the roles. For the most part the voices sound fine, not great, but they dont grate either. Only one I have a problem with so far is the king, the high pitched voice wasnt exactly befitting a man of royal character mind you.

But yah, friggen excellent game. They just dont make em like this anymore. God bless enix.

The king, in case you didn't notice, had a curse put on him. I <3 Yangus.

I'm five hours in (I can't remember the last time I was able to play the same game for five hours straight.) The voice acting is passable. Most of it is pretty good. There is the odd character here and there that I found irritating (wait until you get to the first boss fight.) Overall, though, not bad.

Is it one of those games like the other DQ games where you need to figure stuff out on your own or is it like alot of newer RPGs that litterally spoonfeeds you?

Well, so far it hasn't been too difficult to figure out where to go. But I'm only 5 hours in, I can't really judge the whole game.
