Advent Children is not coming out on the PS2 or PS3. It's a movie, not a game.

there is a prequal to ffvii... ffvii: efore crisis.

never played it, but it seems awesome looking.

Before Crisis is indeed a prequel to FFVII, but it's a cellphone game - not available on any consoles, yet. Crisis Core will also be an FFVII prequel, possibly on the PSP.

Since Advent Children will be available on DVD, you'll be able to watch it on your PS2 or PS3.

Advent Children isn't getting made into a game. Since you can purchase it on DVD or UMD, it can be watched on the PSP or a DVD player, but that's all. There are plenty of FFVII-related games in the works, but no plans for any games based on AC.

Think about it... a game that's based on a movie based on a game. Doesn't make too much sense...
