You named the 2 songs I listen to outside of the show. Salva Nos is played practically in every episode. It is like some sort of bizzare requirement.

The series is good. The first half is randomness that slowly builds a plot as the assassins take jobs. They drop hints of Soldats and the sort here and there and it keeps building up faster and faster as the series goes on. It is good but not great.

I thought this was gonna be a discussion on film noir. But it's not. :(

That reminds me. The series is not very noir in style...which was very dissappointing because noir makes for some awesome mystery stories.

I don't know if there is a noir film...but there is a style of film called noir. As in

"I saw Dick Tracy and it was a pretty good noir film."

That is how I meant it.

Most noir films are black and white detective style movies. I would say a lot of Sin City is noir style due to the lighting and the detective work that is done by some of the characters. It reminds me of it for like...half the movie. The other half...not so much...if at all.

*is laughing* :D

Anyway, film noir (http://www.filmsite.org/filmnoir.html) is a stylistic sub-genre of detective/crime films.
