I'm not exactly sure who they are.

Love them all but I'll give Thirteenth Step the nod. And for those who haven't heard of them: for shame. I don't care how you do it, but if you like rock, you must at least listen to them once.

For people that want to know, they were a side project for Tool's lead singer (Maynard James Keenan). But after three very good albums, my personal fave being 13th step, they are now a band in their own right

Thirteenth Step, but Mer De Noms in a close second. Both are awesome. eMOTIVE was eh to me, I was dissapointed. It was just remakes of songs, most not their own. Their remake of Pet (one of my favourite songs by them) dissapointed me very very much.

Judith, Orestes, The Outsider, Weak and Powerless, Blue, The Hallow and Pet are my favourites. :)

eMotive, just because it was such a strong artistic statement... despite the fact that almost none of the songs on that album were their own. They did some fantastic covers, and made a very strong point with that release. It also gets my vote for best album cover and booklet EVER. Oh my god.

Oh, how I love Maynard's dark, creepy ways. eMotive may have been composed of all covers, but their approach to a lot of the songs was very creative- very APC in itself. Still, Thirteenth Step wins my vote... how can I not vote for an album that contains "Pet?"

Yeah, I don't think I can listen to songs like Imagine or When the Levy Breaks, and be dissapointed that they're covers. They may be, but they're just so APC, and so very different than the originals that I can't help but love them.
