Im just curious what are the tracks that have stuck in gamers minds. I count Uematsu among one of my favorite contemporary composers, and adore alot of his music. Final Fantasy just would not be what it is today without the prelude and the Final Fantasy Main theme. I've stuck Tina's Theme and various boss/fighting battle themes on loop in Winamp before :p I've done it with psf/spc files too so it loops "naturally" just like in the games rather than breaking like with an mp3 :p FF6's Searching For Friends is another that comes to mind :p

One of my traditionally omnipresent winamp playlists is a set of 5 files of Tina's theme and "Awakenin" I forget why it exists, I think I converted some midi to mp3 at some point. It's really relaxing to listen to though.

I liked 'Legendary Beast' from FFVIII a lot. Well, there's tons of great music in FFVIII, a lot more than in the other FFs. FFX has some great music too, like The Scenery of Spira, or Drifting, or Rikku's theme.
