what do you think if Square will create a movie for ff8???

i sent an email to Square Enix USA asking if they will have a movie for the eighth installment...they said that Square Enix of Japan has no plans for that but it doesn't mean that it will never happen.

So....what do you think????
wouldn't it be nicer if they will make such release???

It would be fun... but no.
The game had a happy ending. There would be no reason to make a movie.

me too, just because some people on here dont want a movie or sequel or whatever dosent mean it will spoil the game for them,that is all they are scared about.:choc: :moomba:

i am speaking as a fan of the storyline of the game, it is GREAT movie material. i will speak to a mod and get them to create a petition to present to enix and see what they think.(any other ideas would be great not just my pathetic ones) :choc: :moomba:

I of course would want a movie, a new game, a remake, anything of FFVIII, but I don't think it's ever gonna happen.

i rather they have a gloden verison of FF 8 on PS 3
which means have better graphic and voice actor

Hah, that would NEVER work. It'd be nice, but they've already got FFVII on the roll.

A film will never happen. The game never had the same appeal as VII, and the basis for more plot devolpment for what happened afterwards. Jus' my 2 cents.

My thoughts exactly! And if they are going to make a movie of FF 8, at least put the chocobos, because the Advent Children doesn't have any...

Yeah, it would be awesome if they made a movie outa FF8. And yes chocobo's should have a role in the movie..haven't been in the last two...

Of course I want an FF8 movie, better story than FF7 I think, in terms of a tale.

Why do you guys seem to hinge on the fact that a movie would have to be an actual sequel?

Just because AC was a sequel doesn't mean that other SE movies would have to, or even are sequels. Last Order wasn't (it also wasnt' very long xD)

instead of doing a movie after FF8 (FF8-2) instead they should make the film of FF8 as going through FF8
like starting as a seed in the garden, then going to timber, meet rinoa, all the way to the true Ultimaciea.

yeah they would have to cut a hell of a load off. or do it 2 discs and both doubvle layer like lord of the rings

Well Last Order, we already now everything it tells us from the game so there wasnt any surprise. It would be better if there is a new story in it. Like maybe they'll finally reveal that rinoa is ultimecia.

Yeah, and maybe they could extend a little bit more of the game story line. Like the relationship between Squall and Laguna, the restore of Trabia Garden, or what's made of Norg... it would be nice, but I don't have any solid ideas on what they should do.

There aren't any new surprises in the Lord of the Rings or the Harry Potter movies, and yet people still go to watch them.

yea and showing every boss fight. that would be alot of being original with fighting moves and special effects. they would HAVE to think of new fancy ways of fighting (to match up to that craziness ff7 AC set off). i mean....just think of how many boss fights they would have to animate...lol

it would be bad ass though
