I'm sure some of you have seen this, but it's pretty funny and I've added some comments to it of things I've done. It's a list of rules that a very great soldier got in trouble for.

Not allowed to watch Southpark when I'm supposed to be working.

My proper military title is 'Specialist Schwarz' not 'Princess Anastasia'.
I am not undead, nor am I a hero

Not allowed to threaten anyone with black magic.

Not allowed to challenge anyone's disbelief of black magic by asking for hair.

Not allowed to get silicone breast implants.
Or use anything else to "grow" breasts

Or take bets on who would win between the French and Canadian Army

Must attempt to not antagonize SAS.

Must never call an SAS a 'Wanker'.
Or Lazy Sods

Must never ask anyone who outranks me if they've been smoking crack.
Or if they have any crack

Must not tell any officer that I am smarter than they are, especially if it's true.

Never confuse a Dutch soldier for a French one.

Never tell a German soldier that 'We kicked your ass in World War 2!'
Or claim to speak German than shout gibberish at them

Or claim that you know MArgerett Thatcher (Thanks Psy)

Don't take the batteries out of the other soldiers alarm clocks (Even if they do hit snooze about forty times).

May not make posters depicting the leadership failings of my chain of command.

'The Giant Space Ants' are not at the top of my chain of command.
Mr President, Sir! is not trying to build a base on the moon, despite the rumors I may have heard.

If one soldier has a 2nd Lt bar on his uniform, and I have an E-4 on mine It means he outranks me. It does not mean 'I have been promoted three more times than you'.
LT's are not like puppies. You don't just make sure they get food, water, and ask them if they have to go outside to use the bathroom

It is better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission, no longer applies to Specialist Schwarz.

Other things are perfectly okay, though

But .50 CAL machine guns just aren't scarey enough without a bayonet

Rodents are not entitled to burial with full military honors, even if they are "casualties of war".

My commander is not old enough to have fought in the civil war, and I should stop implying that he did.

Nor should I drink three quarts of red food coloring, and scream during the same.
This guy is my hero!

Must not valiantly push officers onto hand grenades to save the squad.

Despite the confusing similarity in the names, the "Safety Dance" and the "Safety Briefing" are never to be combined.

Not allowed to get shot.

The Chicken and Rice MRE is *not* a personal lubricant. (Skippy wanted this noted for the record that this is not something he has ever attempted or considered! It was something we heard at dinner on 22 September 2001 and it was just so obscene it had to go here.)
You shouldn't recommend gun oil for the same purpose either

Not allowed to play into the deluded fantasies of the civlians who are "hearing conversations" from the NSA, FBI, CIA and KGB due to the microchip the aliens implanted in their brain.

Don't ask LTC Steele to sign my copy of Blackhawk Down.

Must not go on nine deployments in six years that require a security clearance that I don't have, even if the Army tells me repeatedly that I have one and I have no reason to question them.

I've done about a third of those. Good stuff.

Must not start any SITREP (Situation Report) with "I recently had an experience I just had to write you about...."
or begin it with, "Well there I was..."
A friend of mine started one out with "It was a cold, dark, lonely night on Route Irish..."

My own to add:
-I will not test our beanbag M203 rounds on other soldiers.
(Also: I will not challenge other soldiers to a "duel" with any weapon, military or not.")
-I will not participate in "duels" with dart/bolt pistols in the barracks, no matter how much the opponent has "dishonored my lady".
(Also: This is not contingent on how much I've had to drink.)
-No means no.
-When told to go to a Sexual Harassment briefing, I will not reply with "That's alright, I already know how."
-I will not wear "I'm with stupid" shirts to PT.
(The "FUBAR" shirt is also a no-go.)
-I will not refer, directly or not, to anybody in my Chain of Command in a cadence.
-I will not call cadence again. Ever.
-Next time I have to throw up from the second floor of the Ft. McCoy barracks, I will go over the side of the rear balcony, not the back of it.
(Also: I will not drink more than one fifth of whiskey in a night.)
(Also: I will not offer my Squad Leader a drink.)
(Also: I will not get a Mormon drunk, ever again.)
(Also: I do not know kung-fu.)
(Also: I will not believe anybody when they offer a "bet" for me to drink more. They won't come through on it.)
(Also: I will not respond to a direct order with "I'll do it for a dollar!")
-I will not attempt to dual-mount MK-19s.
-I will not carry an MK-19 to a guard tower.
-I will not drive the Bobcat to the PX.
(Also: The bucket on a Bobcat or Front-End Loader is not a "passenger seat".)
-I will not offer hugs to anybody.
-I will spread out my tracer rounds, instead of filling a magazine and a half with them all.
(Also: I will not take tracer rounds out of a battle buddy's SAW belt.)

There's more, I just can't think of 'em right now.

MREs (Meals, Ready to Eat, to most*) come with a "flameless ration heater". Basically, add water to the heater, and the chemicals in the heater react to produce heat, Hydrogen gas, and some other really smelly stuff that gets to you after a while. But if you put the heater, and some water, in a 20-oz. coke bottle, shake it up, and throw it (or toss it down the pipe on a porta-potty), the gasses inside will create so much pressure it'll burst. Really sick buggers will replace "water" with "urine", but that's something that'd cause a fight.

I've never actually made one with pee myself, but I have influenced others to do it.

There's more, I just can't think of 'em right now.Yeah, it's pretty hard to think of everything fun you've done in over a 3 year time period. I've been thinking about it all day, but I'm sure everyone has heard enough of the stupid stuff I've done.

To broaden this topic:
Living in Army barracks is a lot like living in a college dorm room. What are some of the things you've done for fun while there?

Must attempt to not antagonize SAS.

Must never call an SAS a 'Wanker'.
Okay. There's no way that dude's still alive.

Here a few of my own additions (* notifies things I've done myself, the rest is just crap my girlfriend told me about)

Should not walk into a glasses-wearing soldier's room at 2 A.M, wearing glasses, shouting "HAHA, I LOOK LIKE YOU NOW!".

Should not accept a commanding liutenant's offer to "Let's have a rumble!". (*)

Should not move my hand abruptly, hit a fellow female soldier, then when she complains about it, say "I was just moving my hand, it's not my problem you're so big and always in the way." (*)

Should not shout when entering the shared bedroom room "I'm tired of seeing boobs all the time" when the other occupant of the room is trying to show me how her breasts look weird all of a sudden.

Should not argue with a cook who has a recorded attempt at murder. (*)

Should not block said cook from entering the base, even if I am holding a loaded assault-rifle. (*)

Should not fire cigarette butts using my assault-rifle when on guard duty (or at all, really). (*)

Should not blow up ammunition, use it to burn things, write my name on the table, draw funny things on said table, or drown it in a bottle of soda to make it bubble and blow up. (*)

Should not make an oath to slay all wasps who enter my post, and proceed to do so using a can of bug-spray and open flame. (*)

Should not tell your girlfriend you're sleeping with something black, slim and strong, when you're actually refering to your assault-rifle. (*)
