hey is ff12 based 2 years after ffx because in this trailer (http://www.damirkolar.com/ffxii/trailer) it says
two years after final fantasy x or is it saying after ffx created ....wait no because ffx was created in 2001 and that would be at least 4 years if it comes out this year so it couldn't be that man this is really gonna bug me

As he explained in the post you quoted. He knew they were made four years apart, so they didn't mean real time. And its obvious they couldn't possibly mean game time, considering Ivalice and Spira are totally different. So he was just asking what the heck they meant by "Two years after Final Fantasy X". Something I'd like to know as well. But since it wasn't stamped with the SE logo. I'm guessing it's something a really stupid fan made.

cl_out, your closer to being correct. Both worlds have the same name, but they aren't the same world, unlike FFX and X-2.

That's an kind've an old trailer, and it was probably released about 2 years after FFX came out, when they thought the game would come out sooner than this, but that's my guess. I don't remember when that trailer came out, so yeah.

Two years after X-2 was made makes alot more sense. Two years after the story of X finished. X-2 which came out in Japan/America in 2003 and Europe 2004. At the time they expected it to be finished for 2005 which worked and matched the Jap/USA release of X-2 but then it was delayed so now it matches Europes release. It still roughly two years difference anyway. Thats just what I assume it to mean to try and make sense of it.

maybe it was just a mistake and they meant 2 years after x-2 if x-2 came out 2 years before xii does i cant remember when x-2 came out. or maybe they meant they started createing the game 2 years after x was released?

That trailer debuted at the 2004 E3, which would place it about 2 years after FFX. It was on Gametrailers.com and IGN.com at the time. X-2 had just come out the previous Christmas.

Two years after X-2, Destai said pretty much everything I was gonna say. I think they put that so it's kinda saying "Hey, we're returning to offline games" or something. xD
