End of Year Ciddies 2005 - VOTING HAS CLOSED.

The Ciddies - Final Voting

Alrighty, with the nominations flying in like never before, the American Thanksgiving is being celebrated by the Ciddies Committee (which has only two American members, but that's beside the point) by closing nominating and starting voting an unprecedented TWO DAYS EARLY! Inconceivable! Well, okay, quite conceivable, but that's beside the point. The important thing is that we have our finalists, and you can now vote for them.

To be nominated into the second round for an award, a member must obtain two nominations in that award. However, should eight members all recieve three nominations, then the cut-off will be raised to three nominations, and the same for eight members recieving four nominations each, and so on.

The above rule means that a few unfortunate members (I'll detail who they are in the nominations tally which will be posted once voting closes) missed out on getting to the final of either Best Female, Nicest Member, Evilest Member and almost Best Recognized Member / Former Staff - better luck next time, guys! I say 'almost' for the latter as despite over eight members getting three nominations, nobody missed out as no RM/FS finished with just two nominations.

As with last time, that just means we'll have some tougher competition. Still, a lot of you made it through, and here are the finalists for the 2005 End of Year Ciddies!

Award Announcers Wanted

On a sidenote, that something new I might have mentioned earlier can now come into play: If anyone would like to announce an award, please let me know, along with up to five preferences (you can not announce an award you have been nominated for). You might not get your preferences but yeah, worth doing the best I can when delegating. :p

The announcer for an award will basically do an announcers job - blabbing about the award, previous winners, the nominees, the predictions, maybe a joke or two if they want to - and then they will say "And the winner is..." and I'll post the winner. Pretty simple, really. :) Once you're told which award you'll be announcing, you should PM what you'll say to myself before Friday 2nd December - that way if you aren't around when it's your turn, I can post what you wanted to say inside quote tags.

If this all goes well, it could become a regular thing. :)

Yes, you are, and no, nobody is exempt from the self-promotion ruling. I've seen BoB delete other Knight's and Admin's spam before, I'd not be surprised to see him do it again. :p I'm sure other Knights/Admins are also capapble of cleaning up after each other, much like most government organisations have some kind of crew who clean up after each other so that they can pretend it never happened. :)
