I am now at the stage where i will have to crash into the galbadia garden but the problem is no matter what i do, balamb garden just will not crash into it, thus i cannot continue with the game. Can someone help me?

my game crashed in that exact same place. my mate gave me his disc2 so i could get past. suppose that doesnt help you :(
