/wait can only go up to a 20 second timer.

And sorry, I don't remember the command for checking job abilities. Dx

Yeah, you need to do Genkai. Which means getting a exoray mold from Crawler's Nest, a bomb coal from Garlaige Citedal and a papyrus paper from Eldielme Necropolis.

You'll need help with this quest.

I dont think its 20..unsure i might be wrong about that, but one thing is for certain, if you had your provoke macro up, and you use ANOTHER macro before the last line hits, your current macro will overwrite your current one(provoke msgs) so you wont see the end of it.

A better way to see ability timers is to bind a key that has recast on it.

i.e:

/recast "Provoke"
/recast "Agressor"
/recast "whatever"

on one of your macro slots seperate from the ability.

Actually a while back they extended the maximum /wait from 30 to 60 but a 60 second wait is useless... if you use another macro after it it will just cancel the first macro... let's say for instance you had.

/ja "Provoke"
/wait 15
/p message
/wait 15
/p voke ready

and you used boost between the time you voked and the time voke was back up... the /p messages after you hit your boost macro would never occur as they were cancelled basically.

Lionx is giving good advice on how to check it though with /recast "Ability" ... sadly there is nothing to remind you to hit a macro or let you know it's ready which I wish there was... I always wish I could bind it to tell me when steal is up again with my THF.

The /wait command can definitly go up to 60 seconds. I use it that high myself :p

On the topic of /recast, I've been using /echo in macros for short cool down periods myself.

At the time of the last Brady guide it was still only 30 seconds and the Brady guide said so. People tend to take that as gospel even though the brady guide also said:

-BSTs hurt PT XP all the time
-WAR isn't a good main job
-(insert random falsehood>)

These things are in your macros, in order to play your job effectively its good to learn macros and different ones depending on your job. So you can easily press Alt1 for a quick Provoke and not cycle through all the menus.

Its sorta like..RO's F1 keys to use an item..except its much better and more versitle. Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it and necessary.

Good luck pulling off SATA+WS without them.

Sneak Attack (15 THF) or SA+ Trick Attack (30 THF) or TA + Weapon skill.(WS)

Sneak Attack is an ability that, if performed behind an enemy, will multiply the damage you did determined by your DEX(if you are subbing THF, it will only deal a critical hit) and it is a 100% guaranteed land if performed right.

Trick Attack is an ability that if performed, will transfer all hate from your strike, onto the person you are behind, and if you are NOT subbing THF, you will also gain a small(compared to SA) damage boost determined by your AGI.

You usually need to have seperate macros for SATA then another for WS because theres not enough lines for all of it to line up.

I never read the brady guide. To me, buying a guide for an MMO is a waste of money, next verison update it's well, out of date! I know, l'll go to wal mart and spend another 15 bucks for an up to date guide. MEH forget that. That's lame.
