Benjiman?

In FFMQ I assumed the character had no regular name, is that true or is Benjiman his real name? if so how do I change his name?

His name is Benjamin, but it isn't stated anywhere in the game. You can name him anything you want when you start a new game.

In the manual he's named benjamin. That's what I call him anyway
