I've looked through the forum in the last week or so and realised that the number of people with Banned signs on them is rising really fast...... It used to be really rare to see a banned sign, now they are everywhere... are we in the middle of a staff clamp-down or something....comments??? :eek:

Really though, it's not a staff crackdown so much as it is a lot of people being bad. It comes and goes, the larger EoFF gets the more people who join just to be gross or stupid, and thus the more people get banned. We aren't very permissive in that regard.

ALthough, it only works in the context of the Soviet Union. The Hammer & Sickel only mean anything about oppression when you look at oppressive left-wing governments. Many people (e.g. me, Cubans, the Third World, Jesus) would see the Stars and Stripes as just a potent symbol of oppression.

It's pretty easy not to get banned. All you have to do is:

So much so that on a couple of occasions nations have attempted to get the swastika recognized by the Red Cross as a legitimate alternative to the cross itself. I have no idea if they succeeded or not, but I'd have to assume they didn't.
