as well as for anyone else who is brown like mud.

Does India identify with Asia as much as the Chinese/Japanese, etc. Or are you more like, "Poop on ASIA! I'M FROM THE SUB-CONTINENT OF INDIA!"

It's legitimate. I always see the asians calling the indians non-asian. It makes me giggle.

If it wasn't for an Indian, the Chinese wouldn't have Kung Fu. :D

Sub Continent > The rest of it.

*is brown like mud*

Kay I'm Indian and I've always called myself Asian but sometimes the Asians always call me Indian. Screw them ;____; I consider myself Asian.

Edit: Hey Dan! *high fives*

In the West, "Asian" has been taken to refer to the Far East regions, esp. China, Korea, Vietnam. I presume it's because we look fairly different from them that we are referred to differently as Indian. Not that I'm complaining, though. ;)

edit: Good work Team Brown on getting the job done. :D *high fives Dan and Pooja*

I feel so enlightened. However, I see some Indians get mad that Asians won't let them identify themselves as Asians.

Speak for yourself. We're "British Asians" here. The ones who have funny accents and food that burns your weak gora tongue.:D

It's extra cool being Indian, because I guess we can Asian when we want and we can just be Indian-from-the-sub-continent if we don't wanna be Asian LOL.

Edit: I don't care mostly if they consider me Asian or not. I should be Asian technically, so they're dumb! :D

Is this an "Ask Indians questions about being Indian" thread? NEAT, I cannot begin to tell you how long I've waited for this!

- How does it feel to know that Indian elephants are inferior to African elephants?
- Can Indians transform into huge battle robots, sort of like transformers?
- What colour nipples do you have? I MUST KNOW!
- Bollywood: What's THAT all about?
- Same question Re: Bhangra music.
- What's the capital of Tajikistan? That's got nothing to do with India but I realised I don't know.

Indian people don't have nipples, and if anyone answers that question I'll kill them. :)

1. Of course they are, African elephants are left to bugger about in the outback, lazy /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gifs. Indians are business people, and those damn elephants work, regardless of how it effects their growth. They pay for their way just like the rest of us!
2. We can do. We never have the time, though. Too busy trying to take over the NHS. :D
3. I told you this already, Burgandy.
4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties/theatre/2003/05/images/mc_kulvinder_chunky_150.jpg
THAT's what it's about. Western films are /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif. I saw one the other day. It was only an hour and a half long. And! No dancing. wtf?
5. Bhangra is like Morris Dancing but better and not as gay.
6. I have no time for learning! I am brown! I WORK

In Britain, Asian is usualy used to refer to people of Indian origin. Whilst in America it's seems to be used mostly for Oriental people.

The term is Asian-American!
I know you are not intending to beeeeeeeeeeee!
But calling me oriental - Offensive to me!
(go look up Avenue Q, kids)

Also Dan I disregard everything said in #eoff as lies. That way it makes me feel better when people like rubah and Jebus insult me all the time.
