If this is a serious topic, it is wiser to post this in Eyes on each other instead of here.

Change it to something that sounds good if you shout it really loud and in a high pitched vioce like Cheeya. Which you would say like this: "CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAA!"

Then you would be a teacher or something and all the students would say "Hello Mr. CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAA!" and I certainly believe that would imporve their education.

I'm seriously considering changing mine, probably before I'm due to graduate University so I can have my Diploma or whatever in my new name.

I'm changing my last name soon, but you can't have it!

Change yours to a symbol.

I've changed my last name twice and both times it was a huge hassle..Including when I got married...

How about your mother's name? Or your grandparents' name, from either side of the family?

I think it's best to stick to those, instead of coming up with some lame-ass name that you'll regret later. Surnames carry both a meaning and a tradition, don't forget that.

Depending on where you live, the process can be simple and inexpensive, or a pain in the ass and cost you a pretty penny.

Fortunately, it was $50 and a single-page form in Chittenden County, Vermont. :D

Don't change your surname. If your father really is that bad, then he's soiled the proud surname and it's your job to restore it through your own goodwill. Show everyone what a true (insert your surname here) is like.

It also works quite well for your partner to scream as he climaxes during intimate relations:
"OH OH! CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAA!"

Choose someone that you love in the group of your mother and/or grandparents, and use it. That's my suggestion.
