Seiken Densetsu for me.

Part 1 was ok.

Part 2 was insanely good.

Part 3 was one of the best games, of all time.

Legend of Mana was pretty nice also.

Depends on how you're judging. If you're going by the percentage of quality games in the series, Chrono wins easily, having had both of its games reach "classic" status in the gaming community because they're just that good. My sole gripe with the series is Akira Toriyama's character design. I absolutely loathe his art style, partially because I loathe Dragonball and all things associated with it.

Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. Thery're great games. Although the Mana series games are too. It's a tie between those two series for me.

Wow i just took a look at my PSone game collection to help me decide on this and i realized that all but one of my PSone games are made by SquareSoft (The Legend of Dragoon was the only non Square game if you havent played it you should).

As for my favorite series i gotta go with Xenogears with a close second to the Crono games. I thought the story in Xenogears was really deep and well thought out and the battle system was cool (Crono Cross's battle system is really similar).
