I think he may be talking about Brahne but it could also be Quina so here goes...Im not sure about this but in Treno where there is a cutscene thingy with Kuja and the Auctioneer, Kuja mentions that he disliked the trip to Burmecia and that it would have been more pleasant if he hadn't run into those vermin and that elephant-lady. Now Quina is optional at this point in the game if I remember correctly but I have never gone through the game without her except my very first playthrough which was a long time ago. I think that either he is speaking of Brahne as the elephant lady and then I guess that the vermin are all the Burmecians or maybe square added the words "and that elephant-lady" only if you have Quina. Anyone 100% sure that it IS Brahne who is the elephant-lady or could this show that Quina is a girl?

Yes, it is Brahne, also, Kuja doenst encounter Quina in Burmecia as s/he goes off to look for food will vivi, zidane and freya fight the kuja, and i think he still says it so yeah, imo, definitly Brahne (also, i think there are references later in the game tie Brahne to Elephant-Lady)

You do fight Kuja with Quina, but he isn't recognized as he is optional.

I was just gonna say that, but yeah wasn't sure if it was alrdy there or added speech since in ff7 if you got vincent he will say very short sentences at certain parts while regular characters will ay a big number of mumbo jumbo(or if yuffie is with you)
