FOOKIN GUTTED!!!!!!!!!!!! i just battled ultima weapon for the first time. i was expecting a a challenge :( i was just getting geared up and the basterd died on me. like four turns into the battle :( gutted

theres still omega weapon i guess

Remember, Omega will be Lv100 regardless of your party level.

yeah im level 100 no worries their :P

omega is the hardest in the game though right? so im likley to have my ass handed to me first time round. thats what im hopin for anyway

:rolleyes2 theres got to be at least one hardcore dude in the game somewhere. please tell me omega is going to be tough :(

Remove your GFs (no junctions) and don't use Invincible Moon. That might make it a little harder.

wasnt planning on using any invincible skills. but wouldnt it be say ummmm impossible without any junctions. my stats will be minimal and i have only basic attack, not even item or anything. cant heal, cant revive, cant block his hardcore attacks. errrrrrm nah, i'll pass

Your stats shouldn't be minimal if you levelled up correctly. Anyway, I thought you wanted a 'hardcore' battle?

I'm just messing with you. You may have killed Ultima in a few attacks, but I'm sure Omega will prove to be more difficult, even with full junctions.

yeah i like a challenge. but that didnt sound like a challenge, it sounded like the equilevent of a poodle trying to kill a bear. i didnt level up properly either. i never intended to 'level up' at all but i enjoyed random battles in ffviii and some-how found my way to level 100 *shrugs*

if you cant heal, i dont think that battle would be entirely possible. but i will die trying just to know for sure :)

Omega Weapon is a pretty hard optional boss. The easiest way to beat him is to refine your Laguna and Gilgamesh and spam those Heroes and Holy Wars. Combined with thse use of Rinoa's Invincible Moon, you really can't lose.

If you don't do any of that, it takes quite a lot of strategy as you have to learn his pattern and make sure he doesn't fire off a Mediggo Flame when you're not ready. Very annoying battle.

they should've made the game harder, or - i can replay it without the usage of limit-breaks...

realy. in my strat guide is says that if your level one omega will be and he will only have just over 100000 hp. oh well.

Omega Weapon and the enemies on the Island Closest to Heaven/Hell will always be Lv100. All other enemies/bosses comply with the party level rule.

What about enemies in the Fire Cavern?

And yet (as I'm sure Ultima Shadow will come prove) Ultima Weapon poses more danger of killing a properly prepared party- in other words there both very easy.

I'm not sure about the enemies in the Fire Cavern, but I know that Ifrit will never be above Lv 6. Similarly Ultimecia will never be above Lv 65 een if your party level is 100.

What Final Fantasy is hard? If you are thorough and take your time and explore their all pretty easy, I think VIII has the best overdrives in the whole series, and if you have lionheart your unbeatable.
