*sigh* I know he was sick for a long time, but that doesn't mean it's less of a shock.

Richard Pryor was one of the first Black comedians to really dangle on the lines of racism in his jokes, he is also considered by most as one of the best comedians of all time. It's really sad that he's gone.

I was under the impression that he'd already died quite some time ago.

Still. A man has died, and that is always a tragedy.

Though I value life, I don't see why his life should be respected any more than the life of anybody else. He was racist, and only worked against his own "cause" of stopping the "oppression" of the black people. Some of his comedy was good, some was decent, some was just in bad taste.

He's no Bill Cosby.

Richard Pryor was indeed a funny motherfucker. But yeah, he was sick for a long time. I guess I'm glad that he's free from that now.

Truely a Pioneer of black comedy in the US and the world. Chris Tucker, Cedric the Entertainer, Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock : All performers that owe Richard a huge debt.

Mr Pryor, we salute you.

There's a huge difference in a racist comedian and the man widely regarded as one of the greatest presidents in United States history.

Your jokes are not even close the level of gnarliness that the late Pryor's was. Everyone knows Reagan was one of the worst presidents in United States history.

Pryor was a funny guy but like most celebs...I don't really care. Just another person that I didn't know.
