Yeah (http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=5892).

This is the company that brought games like Popful Mail, Arc the Lad, Growlanser, and the superior half of the Lunar series to America and pioneered the concept of actually giving games decent translations. The industry as it is today owes a lot to their accomplishments, but now they're gone to join the ranks of Technos and Compile. I'll see you at the crossroads, Vic.

Yeah...it's a sad time for videogames.

Indeed. Best of luck to Victor Ireland and his team in their future projects.

:(

There goes the company that brought us two of the best RPGs ever made, which included perhaps the best voice acting ever. And little flying cats.

End of the world.

This comes shortly after the Kikkoman Soy Sauce song as a sign of the apocalypse.

Technically speaking it's their own damn fault, but Sony is partly to blame too. Well, whatever. The point is that it sucks that they're gone. At least Lunar will live on. And, well, I wasn't holding out any hope for another Popful Mail. How many years has it been?

They were never very profitable but it isn't like they had HUGE staffs either. They were a small company that did the job better than most and actually cared about their work with no money mongering boss to ruin it all. Too bad for them that Sony of America has it out to kill 2D games(which was a huge group of their games) as well as RPGs becoming more costly to localized with voice acting and things like that. They will be missed but they shall live on in other companies. Maybe they will join Atlas and help them to bring over more games. That would be a very welcome combination.

Damn it. That sucks. Easily one of the greatest companies, but as mentioned, not too profitable. Damn money.

Hopefully, the torch will now be passed to Atlus.

Good night sweet prince. The first Lunar and the first two Arc games are classics, we're lucky they brought them to the playstation.
