I don't see why so many think the gameplay looks too simple... A FPS (which I know this isn't but since it's mostly gunplay...) is nothing but pointing and shooting. Compared to that this is looking supreme. An action game with a story? I'm in...

I know i'm like the only one....but wasen't squaresoft/enix using final fantasy before for a more...all ages audience...this seems too dark for my likeing,and I x3 ff7...
I know it's VINCENTS STORY it's supposto be dark...But oh well ashamed to say that at 16 that seriously creeps me out xD not even the shooting aspect...just the MOOD it's so dark aah

No, Final Fantasy isn't for an audience of all ages. There are some very serious, adult concepts within the series, like death, war, politics, and moral philosophy.

Looks to be quite a nice third person shooter/action game. All that hinges on making it great in my opinion is making the FFVII world fully part of the game, rather than just a backdrop. Looks like so far, it's going good.

This game looks great! I'm so glad they made a game about Vincent. I don't think his character was portrayed as well as he should have been in Final Fantasy VII. From the trailer, this game looks worth buying. :)

It's Tifa. But Yuffie is in the trailer for a split-second before Cait Sith is seen. She's still in disguise, but it's easy to spot the shuriken.

I still dont know why people are so excited about this game, sure, its part of the FFVII compilation, but has thats put a blind over your eyes, this game looks atrocious.

Dreddz, I understand how you feel because I actually used to feel the same way.
The first screenshots looked pretty bad for PS2 graphics, and some of the characters didn't look very attractive to me.

That might have been because of the game being in early stage of development since what we got to see in this trailer looks awesome to me.
Of course, no game emplying FFVII characters will ever beat FFVII, but as a fan I'm still eager to learn more about its universe, if it's done skilfully. And before the game actually comes out, there's no way I could judge about that yet;)
