I generally dont like his music, I'd like one of his songs when I first hear it, then start hating it.
The only song i really like by him even now is Out Of Control, but he was with Mobb deep as well....

Almost all of the mainstream rap artists cannot make genuinely good rap music, imo. But then, I'm not one to really like mainstream stuff, as I don't really like what is presented. 50 Cent is no different. Even I can come up with better rhymes than he.

Haha, what? You expect the masses to know what good music is? If they have a good manager, and they get people to tell em it's good, it will sell well.

12-18-2005, 09:45 PM
I love rap, its pretty much all I listen to, but I hate 50. His first few songs were good. Now he's getting cocky though. He's beefin with others just to sell records, not cuz he really has beef. Then he had the nerve to call Nas a window shopper when Nas showed 50 his first benz and first diamonds. Ima laugh when Nas comes out with an Ether for 50 just like Jay Z.

If your telling me that people only buy his music because of the name that is above it, or that its just that its the managers word that sells his music, then that is a load of crap. I dont think our nation has gone down to that level........people like his music, end of...

I don't like his lyrics. A few of his songs have some pretty good beats though. He's too mainstream for my liking. By mainstream, I mean he just seems to rap about everything that gives rap a bad name. Just rapping about bling, fast cars and hot women. He doesn't rap about anything worth listening to. I'm surprised Eminem signed him up on his label. 50's lyrics seem so shallow compared to Eminems.

I don't like his lyrics. A few of his songs have some pretty good beats though.

That's pretty much how I feel. About a lot of recent rap songs, actually. But no, I don't really care for his songs, or for him in general. I haven't seen his movie or played his game but they both look completely ridiculous. And, this might sound shallow, but does he only have one facial expression? He always has the same dumb look on his face no matter what he's doing or saying. Annoys the hell out of me. .-.

Zeldy, 50 Cent has no lollipop. And he's dumb. His lyrical related skills are good but his flow is garbage. I don't really like him. His only good songs were "Window Shopper" and "21 Questions"...

Nas > all

You know, today at work during a slow period I looked over from my cubicle and saw a coworker reading GQ. We started taking a look at some of the fashions, turned the page, and there was fifty sportin a street look. I mean for Fu*k sake how much did this guy have to pay that magazine to put him in it? Yah, I can just see fifty now in barney's or going through his armani suits trying to decide which one he should wear in his next video. :rolleyes2

As for his music, I dont like him. I dont like many rap artists because I am a musician myself (sing and play piano) and believe that music should uplift, educate, and inspire people to better themselves, and fifty does none of those things with his music. I mean I can at least respect Eminem for his talent, if not his message. Fifty just comes off as a wannabe with a mutant power that attracts bullets from fifty states away. I mean sweet mercy this guy's been shot more then daffy duck in the entire loony toons run, but I give daffy the edge in being a more realistic acting character.

but yah, dont like him. never liked him, and wish he'd just go away. He's sort of like Britney spears in the sense that he seems to know his fifteen minutes are up, but wont get off the stage. video games, paying GQ up the anus to put him in it (I mean really, you think the editors there REALLY came up with the idea that nothing says the cutting edge of male fashion like a ugly ass confessed drug dealer?) movies, aint this the same road Britney took not so long ago? Whats next, him marrying a jason Alexander lookalike?

I dont generally like rock, but I at least knew who your feather loving band was..Hate to break it down to you but Nas isn't so famous. No offense to Nas, but I think even Ja Rule sold more. BUt no worries. It's not how your album sells that makes you a good star. Unless you want money. Nas may not have sold as much as 50 Cent, but we all should know that Nas is better. 50 Cent can't even freestyle...

And I have a friend that believes that 50 Cent is already a legend. 50 Cent just started turning to the public 2 years ago. He doesn't deserve to be legendary. And he's not even that good. C'mon. Nas is a legend with just that one album he made, his debut Illmatic (1994)...

2pac,Biggie,Rakim,Nas and JayZ are legends, 50 Cent is a mainstream rapper, teenage girls from suburbia listen to his music, he sells alot, but the massacre was a really bad album, if he put out something even close to Get Rich or Die tryin you'd have to give him his props but he came out with a halfassed effort, but his movie was good, havent played the game. And where have you been in the last 10 years if you havent heard of Nas? Stillmatic has to be the single greatest rap album of all time.
