What can RPG maker 2003 Do?

Seriously, if you have a gba, do what Dwarf said. Making any game on Rpg maker 2003 takes a long time especially trying to redo a whole FF game exactly the way it is. I doubt anyone will want to take the time and effort to make it and if they do, you'll see it in a year, unless they completly devote their time to it.

Well, someone remade FFI, but as far as I know, no one plans on doing FFII or FFIII.

Unlikely, it's too bothersome to make FF2's leveling up system, and FF3 isn't as complicated, but you still need to make various items and such... FFI is simple to make though,,,

The screenshots look very good, and damn, I know it's hard to make a game for RM2k, but I think the reason why people laughed is because that is FF4, not FF2. Oh, and Chaos laughed at something else, not you.

I don't have those RPG maker kits, but I do have RPG Maker for the PSX, and RPG Maker 3 for the PS2. Needless to say they're difficult to work with and totally make my head hurt, though I work with them anyway. *needs a PS2 keyboard*

I heard you could copy FFX using a cd or dvd writer. Youu'd need ot get your mates to do the voice acting though/:mad:

I stated awhile back that me and few "aquintances" (sp?) worked on an FF3j remake a few years ago... everything on the floating continent coded and all the characters, shops, maps, and systems created. but unfortunately some of the rest of my team won't allow me to release the code. they did alot of coding and sprite work, so i understand.

when it comes to what rm2k3 can do... well, if you know what you're doing (most ppl don't) you can do just about anything you can think of (with the exception of 3d stuff and few other things).

IMHO, if you want an ff2 remake... get a gba and buy DoS or god forbid Origins. as for ff3... wait on the DS release like the rest of us.

Okay... FF2 SNES is pretty easy to make in terms of battle system... not very difficult at all.. though... FF2:SoP would be a bit harder, I made a test project and while it does work close to it... it's not exactly the same...

Since the magic system is so simple in FFIV, that'd be the easiest to remake, in all honesty with the RPG2K system.
