What do you think? With Eminem announcing that his greatest hits may be the end. I am saddened but relived. Too much money on cd’s. ;P For today’s rappers, Em is defiantly the most hardcore of them all. While others rap about their grills and ho’s and all of the crap that they bought with their money. Those guys suck. Em has yet to release a song where he raps about like his material possessions. That’s one of the reasons that I like his music so much. Other than the fact that he’s a lyrical genius. His greatest hits are worth buying as well as any of his other cd’s. He is (right now) the greatest rapper, not one of…the. That’s excluding Biggie and Pac; he’s third to those guys. Tell me, do you like his music…or do you hate his homophobic lyrical ass?

Eminem is my favorite rapper. I don't like Pac or those guys. Eminems songs actually mean something other than someones ass. Plus some of his songs make me laugh. I already peeked for Christmas presents and I'm getting Curtain Call. Listen to Encore by Eminem and at the end it says " Detox 2006" or something like that.

A greatest Hits album dosen't mean the end. Look at the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they have about 4 greatest hits albums and theyre still going strong :love:Of course, there are the odd ones who finish with a greatest hits album. Eg: Creed, Blink 182.......

As for Eminem, I like quite alot of his stuff. Probably one of the only rappers I like, I don't care much for rap. I prefer his older stuff from 'Eminem Show' and further back than his newer stuff. Although 'Toy Soildiers' was pretty good.

He is ok but sometimes give his songs too much swearing.

Thing is that although his older songs were better, my favorite song from him was in 2002. "Lose Yourself" was phenominal...

The only rap artist I ever liked, great music, great lyrics, shame to see him go so early.

What in hell are you talking about?? Eminem started in 1999. That's not early. As a matter of fact, he was an underground artist in 1995...

He still had so much left in him.

Em can't top some of his earlier work...eg Just don't give a, Way I am, Stan Criminal, Lose yourself(well that's not early...but hard to top nonetheless). However, he's not trying...he's moving on and letting his songs surpass his hate anger and pain in the past. Rather he creates new lyrics based on the crap he see's right before him. Eg...President Bush. ;P

Eminem is not a hardcore rapper at all but that guy has some very nice rhymes that people can relate to, even to his music, and his performance did very well in 8mile. I think he's just gone a little too soft with some of his new songs but he did a good thing because you should always leave the industry before it leaves you!.

Hardcore rap is actually, for a brief sum up, Nas and Method Man...

DMX could be counted as hardcore aswell, I guess...

Eminem already said that he's "back" in loads of his earlier songs already.

He was all right when he started. "Stan" was definitely his greatest song. But ever since he started into this sentimental stuff he's gone downhill.

Well, I've been a big fan of Eminem since I was little. He is really good and I have a lot of tracks from his albums on my comp.

I think Eminem is one of the best rappers now, though alot of his songs nowadays have to do about his actual life and his daughter Haillie, it's getting kind of boring, but I still respect him.

But no doubt about it, in a freestyle battle, Eminem would eat anybody alive :P

Now there's a song that deserves respect.

HIs group, D-12, is way better than his solo stuff in many regard, I think.

D12 itself doesnt get enough attention, only Eminem does, and thats also why he wrote a song about it.

My favourite Eminem songs are:

Till I collapse
Lose Yourself
When i'm gone
Sing for the moment (cause it makes fun of posers)
Superman
Haillies song

and I think that's all, as of lately i've been listening to alot of his songs, I think I might by his new album ''Curtain Call''

Don't you mean "My Band"? Sing For the Moment is something much different than making fun of posers (unless I interpreted the song incorrectly).

Personally, I was never that big of an Eminem fan. I know this sounds racist, but his voice is a bit too "white" for my tastes in rap.

But Jay-Z said the Black Album was his retirement album, but he still followed up with Unfinished Business with R.Kelly and is in the process of producing albums for many artists as well. So I think Eminem will do the same.

I wouldn't put Eminem above Jay-Z though. Anyone who is a Jay-Z fan knows JZ isn't always about pimpin and hoes. The best rapper from the past decade is Jay-Z. I do think he's a better rapper than Biggie. People just say "Pac and Biggie are 1/2 or 2/1" just because they're famous rappers who died early. BS. It's just a bunch of wannabe ghetto posers who want something to talk about who think Biggie and Pac are the two best.

If Nas died early, I guess then he's #3.

I find Biggie's voice annoying.

So true. However I do feel that those two guys are better than'll you'll ever know. Pac had a slew of great songs that will forever be at the forfront of rap...and biggie...well to tell you the truth I've only heard a few of his songs...some I can listen too...others...nah. I also agree with your thoughts on JayZ, he's a phenomenal rapper. However, I can relate more to some of em's songs than I can to JayZ. However our opinions are what make us different. ;P

I thought he was okay back in '99. He had an unusual way of speaking; people rallied out in horror everytime he opened his mouth. Personally, today, I'm tired of his endless hatred towards certain people: his mother & Kim. We get it, he hates them. --"

Actually, it's said that he and Kim might be getting back together and he patched things up with his mom a while back. ;P

On Eminem, I think Eminem was at his best with his first 2 albums. My personal favorite was his first one. Now he's rapping about whats really important to him though. Almost everyone I know listens to eminem, even people who hate rap. Now I think he's fallen off, and its a good time for him to kick back and just be a producer. He's already made his impact.

On the other rappers in this, I dont like Jay Z but you gotta give him his props. All of his albums went platinum. As for Tupac and Biggie, well I think Biggie is great, Tupac I dont like too much. They were very good but in my opinion some rappers have surpassed them.
