I don't use substitutes by default. Eyesonff makes me use them. Fudge is my all time favorite word. Why? I don't know...it beats saying the f bomb in front of my Christian boss. :)

I don't substitute, I just sometimes happen to use other terms. Having said that I am concious of the wisdom in not cussing around small childs, but if that's the case I tend not to vocalize my irritation at all, or it's reduced to growling and the gnashing of teeth.

"Oh snap" isn't a euphemism for a more severe word, at least not that I've ever been told. It's just a little salt for the wound. Like burn(sauce).
