Michael Owen's toe has been broken, the same one Beckham broke in 2002, looks like Owen might not be in the world cup at this rate.
There was always something about the spurs that hit you but this is ridiculous.

It was in the first half of Newcastle's 2-0 spurs defeat and to make matters worse Goven broke his thumb...:

If a single player is so vital to the team, why not remove the ten redundant men?

I'd rather prefer a fencing duel event or something. Far better than soccer.

IT'S EMILE HESKEY'S TIME TO SHINE!!!

Kidding of course, but i'm sure we'll do alright without him. Don't see us getting past the quarter finals though.

Just hope Owen gets better by February or March, it seems as if it's barely a fracture.

Pfft, there's no way that kind of injury could keep Owen out for over six months, and it's not as if he's critical to our success anyway. Sure, we'll miss him, but if we're going to win the World Cup this year, I highly doubt that it'll be Michael Owen that leads us to it.

I think that this sports injury stuff are overrated. This guy in the world cup broke a toe and now he cant play. Yipee...There are always others to take his place

Owen will get picked for the squad whether or not he is fit to play - he will just be on the bench

England still has Beckham, Lampard, Rooney and Gerrard. I suppose England is one of the best teams this year.

Hell, sorry, I can't resist. If there is another Brazil x England tell your goalkeeper to watch out next time Ronaldinho has a free kick.:p

Sorry:p. But I still think England one of the best teams.

The worst thing about it the spurs keeper and the striker who kicked his entangled foot never got booked, poor Owen, he seems quite upset about it too.
