I'm extremely arrogant, but I tend to curb those tendencies when around others because I know it puts people off. Nobody likes someone who comes off as overly arrogant and full of themselves.

(this is so not a "look I got a custom user title thing" thread)Good, because your one sucks. :p

I don't like arrogance, particularly perceived arrogance that isn't really justified. However, this doesn't stop me from being arrogant myself from time to time. :D

I hate arrogant people, unfortunately for me, I'm the most arrogant person I've ever met. When around other people, for their sakes I try to keep it in check.

I'd say I'm arrogant about some things, but rarely to the point that I'm a jerk about it. I'm probably a bit more arrogant online than in person, too. But I think that just comes from being able to spell properly.:p

Yes, I can be arrogant at times. It mostly bursts through when I'm having a bad day, though. I've been working on subduing it.

I'm arrogant in my mind but I try not to be normally. I can be jokily arrogant and I always mess about saying I'm a better artist than anyone in my class/college/whatever gallery I'm visiting....but sometimes people think I'm being serious, which is rather worrying....

...

Maybe its cos they KNOW I'm better than anyone else...?

There's a difference between arrogance and confidence.

I belive we are all guilty of being arrogant at one point or another but I don't believe it makes it right; such a thing usually leads to vanity.

Arrogance only blinds you to reality and in the end you only really end up hurting yourself when you are finally knocked off your pedastool. Tis best to be humble in my books.

I'm confident, and I tend to be rather arrogant, but it's offset by the fact that I really tend not to take myself very seriously. Half the time, I recognize my arrogance and turn it into a parody of itself.

Of course, I do this because I'm so wonderful.

Y'know what I don't like? when walking with confidence, people mistake this for arrogance which has led me to only show this when I know I won't be thought if as arrogant to others. My theory is that this is only done by those with low self-esteem to begin with, though I could be wrong.

Primus Inter Pares

The difference with confidence and arrogance can be hard to spot, especially if you want to see arrogance in a person you dislike.

\I'm confident, especially towards girls. Ever since my last relationship ended, girls have been calling me a little flirty but a lot more fun to talk to. I make a lot of jokes about how good looking I am (even though I know I am at best just an average guy) and if I'm just sitting down with a friend, I start rating girls as they walk by. I ask girls out a lot more often now, because there's really nothing to lose I guess. Compared to the old me who was a little nervous and shy, I'm a lot more confident than I used to be and I'm better for it.

That's confidence.

I'm arrogant when I play Soul Calibur 2. I know I'd never be able to match it with the higher ups in the arcade community but I know I'm damn good and can easily put away the average to good player. It takes someone special to beat me and quite often I've taken time to start conversations with complete strangers I've just beaten to tell them how they could improve their play (throwing in as many fighting game terms as I can just to show off). SC2 is a pretty niche game so most people that play think highly of themselves so I often run into players who think they're hot just because they've unlocked everything on their console version. To these degenerates I aim to win only by time out or ring out. This way the opponent will think I didn't really deserve to win and thus waste more money on me. xD

That's arrogance.

Anaisa

I hope none of them hear you if your rating them a 1/10 or something, because that would just be cruel.

If it's something really bad, I don't say it out loud. I just nod to my friends and move on to the next subject. If it's a good score, and the right time and place (I can't work just walking down the street), I'll probably go for it.

And get rejected. :(

I was afflicted with a huge ego as a child, cocky and conceited - it was only after someone did me the favour of slapping me upside my head, that I calmed down and adjusted myself a little. People tell me I have potential and ambition, but I just take it in my stride with a " thank you " and don't allow it to go to my head. Otherwise I'm confident without being overly self-assured, proud without being overly proud.
