Are you talking about FF III for the NES or FF VI which was named FF III for the Super NES in the US?

not neccesarily, becuase half the world was destroyed. It kinda doesn't leave room to "go back to your normal lives ya know. Anyway, just to hopefully spark off conversation;) , I think that locke and celes get married and they live happily ever after... well... maybe not.
Anythoughts

Yeah but just because the world is half destroyed doesn't mean they can't go to back to their normal lives. It's obvious that Terra will return to the children in Mobliz, Sabin and Edgar will rule Figaro, Locke will still hunt for treasure. Locke and Celes will probably date for a while then get married

The ending gives some closure to the plot, but still leaves much to the imagination. This is just what I figured would happen.
Terra: It should be assumed that Terra returns to the orphanage and helps to take care of the children that have helped her to learn the meaning of the word love.
Locke: Locke probably just spends his days "Treasure Hunting", and probably ends up with Celes.
Edgar/Sabin: Edgar and Sabin rule over Figaro together.
Shadow: Shadow commits suicide.
Cyan: Cyan works to rebuild Doma.
Gau: Back to the Veldt?
Celes: Ends up with Locke presumably.
Setzer: Lays the Falcon to rest and works to build a better airship.
Strago/Relm: I guess they return to Thasama and Gramps dies and Relms aspires as an artist?
Mog/Umaro: Mog continues to boss Umaro around in the caves north of Narshe
Gogo: Goes back under Triangle Island.

whoa whoa whoa, shadow commiting suicide, um... not really. When you think about it he's quite an honorable character. Remember the part on the floating continent, when he saves your party's life. People like that don't generaly commit suicide.
Sticking stricktly to imaginiation, I think that he should go with Terra and help the kids. His dog might eventually learn to be tame:greenie:

Except he DOES commit suicide at the end.

At the end of the game. When everyone else is escaping, he sits there in the corner and lets the tower fall on him. He tells Intercepter to go. Oddly enough, nobody seems to notice that he's gone.

wow thats really lame. Hmm. Um... so any more thoughts or imaginitive views on characters. What do you think will happen to intercepter

Eaten by Mog, who is eaten by Gau, who is eaten by Umaro?
Or just go to live with Relm....

ok so that leaves the characters you played but what will happen to the kids in mobliz. U think that they'll become crazy and kill everyone or just go into the world calmly.
Also I don't think that Terra is exactly the kind of person to just sit in a nursery. I think that she will become best friends with Locke and Celes, who by this time will have 10 kids and they, together, will go explore the world... how touching

Does any one else notice how at the end when theyre flying around the world everything seems "green" again? maybe its just me but i thought that maybe after Kefka dies the world just suddenly came back to life by itself?
well i think mog finds some moogle friends (they might not ALL be dead)
Gau having nothing to do probably goes back to the veldt or maybe he goes with his friend Mr Thou :)
Setzer stops gambling (aww)
Cyan learns machines better (yay)

relm enslaves the world with her godlike pictomancy. (theres no magic to stop her...*evil laughter*...)

I think Relm should go live with her dad-man Shadow. :D? And I really doubt Celes and Locke's relationship would work out.

r u crazy! I think that locke/celes relationship is great. Remeber in the first half when you were going to that island to find the espers for Ghestal and there's that just air between them.
Then remember when you get the espers and you're all standing in Thasma with General Leo and Locke and Celes are standing close (bit too close) to each other and locke says something like "time for a bit of peace and quiet. I think that that hints something brewing there.

Mog/Umaro: Mog continues to boss Umaro around in the caves north of Narshe
Gogo: Goes back under Triangle Island.
Actually, I think Gogo and Umaro died. When Umaro breaks down the wall for Celes and the others, you'll notice that he doesn't leave. Gogo gets trapped beneath the floor when s/he is ordered to copy Celes's moves. Neither of them is aboard the airship when it takes off, so I assume they died along with Shadow.

 I did NOT notice that! But is that just because they're "hidden" characters?

Well, yes, they're hidden characters, but Mog is too, in a way, yet he's still there in the end.

Maybe because he's not really secret? You play as him in the beginning, and when you're selecting which scenario to play after the first Ultros fight.

Yes, but getting him permanently is a secret.

Neither Yuffie, nor Vincent were in the FFVII ending. That's where I'm getting this theory.

Neither Yuffie, nor Vincent were in the FFVII ending. That's where I'm getting this theory.True, and they were secret. HOWEVER, nearly every character besides Celes, Edgar and Setzer is optional at the end of the game, yet anyone else who comes along still appears on the ship. And Gogo and Umaro have they're own ending scenes, so they are still in the ending, they just aren't on the ship.

Actually, Gogo and Umaro are visible for a split second in the airship during the ending, everyone is there, except Shadow.

Oh, really? Then this part of the discussion is pointless.
