I dont see why shows are live, why should we care, actually we should, we want to be sure that nothing will mess up and we can enjoy it..........

I only managed to watch the first 4 episodes of the first series. I just forgot about it with Uni work. I love the kids name, George Michael!

George Micheal: What? Me? No, maybe he saw someone else. Maybe the other George Micheal. The singer-songwriter

Looks like it's just in the speculation stages at the moment, but here's hoping. Why does no one watch this show? Is it because America is too damn dumb?

Not to take anything away from how dumb most of America is but that show is just dumb. I had this long thing all ready to slam the show and the post didn't go through. I just want to ask what makes this show any good in the first place. I always thought the show was stupid. I like what it tried to do. It is different from everything else that is the same recycled but I just don't like the characters at all which is...93.536% of the show from what I can tell.

I love all the characters and I think they are very well portrayed. They aren't all supposed to be likeable, that's the point! But it's probably a matter of taste. I wish your post went through, ed.

My dumbness of America comment wasn't meant to be serious. I'm sure there are plenty of smart people who don't like the show.

No, there's not.

Well, people smart enough to not watch TV wouldn't know if they liked the show or not. :O

The show doesn't have a laugh track and honestly, a lot of viewers seem to need a signal to tell them when they should be laughing. AD is an intelligent show. It just is. A lot of jokes are in-jokes, clever puns, and it'll go over a lot of people's head especially since there isn't a laugh track to help people along. It is a harder show to get into than most but it has a cult following. I think the show is brilliant though, and those in-jokes are ten times funnier than anything else on television. I love it when they take jabs at Fox and their lackluster support of the show. The show can be deliciously snarky sometimes.

Edit: I haven't watched tonight's episode yet, but from what I gather, they did a parody on the fact that Medium and Will & Grace had live and 3-D shows earlier this year. I don't think it was actually live, and they were just poking fun at some of the ratings grabbing stunts other TV shows have pulled.

I know the characters are not suppose to be likeable. My beef with the characters is that I think the personalities they have are way too in one direction...to the point of them being an extreme case. I think having a case(outside of michael) that are nothing but these extremes makes it too unlikeable for most people. That is why I don't like them.

I had not noticed the laugh track was missing when watching the show. I didn't really notice because most of what I watch is cartoons and is thus devoid of a laugh track.

The other point I had made in my bigger post was I think the show might be too continous...not to the same level as 24 but enough to lose the casual viewer.

EDIT: BTW my favorite new sitcom is My Name is Earl. It does just about everything I would expect out of a sitcom. Easy to get into and funny on the levels of in your face and smart(to an extent). It also has a good message behind it. I also don't think it has a laugh track. Now that I think about it the reason both shows don't have a laugh track is because of the style of the main character telling the story through monologe in the background. A laugh track would ruin the flow of both shows.

I will agree that the in-jokes make it hard for new viewers to start watching. That's really too bad, since there are about 10 laugh-out-loud moments per episode.
