All sorts. Mostly shoujo. You'll find me drooling over Yuu Watase's work, which you might have heard of Fushigi Yuugi or Ayashi no Ceres. But she has other series as well (anime and manga) and my most favoritest manga would have to be Imadoki. ^.^ But I read more manga then watch anime, but mostly the older stuff, I haven't gotten into a lot of series lately.

Edit: Oh and anime isn't just any cartoon and it isn't manga either. Manga is japanese comics, while anime is japanese animation. So there's a difference between manga and anime.

mine are: Jubie Chan, Dot Hack//Sign, Cowboy Bebop, Vampire Hunter D, I actually enjoyed Digimon (the one with dark gears, and the one with the digi modify. they had the best story/plot), animatrix and that appleseed movie that came out recently.


edit: and there was this show fantasy/comedy anime that I use to watch, I dont remember the name, but it involved 2 magic chicks, one was hawt and the other was psycho and hawt, the episodes were unique and enjoyable.

I used to watch anime, and then I realized that (like movies) all of it is pretty much the same, and not very much of it is any good. So I gave it up. That said, Please Save My Earth, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, and Dragonball Z are my favorite animes. They represent everything that I used to like about anime and, at the same time, they represent everything that I hate about anime now.

Neon Genesis Evangelion - The title makes no sense, and neither does the show. There's a lot of pointless symbolism and crazy stuff going on, all under the guise that this show is "really deep" and that it has "a message". But in the end, it really doesn't have anything to say. Eva, like a lot of shows, takes itself way to seriously.

Please Save My Earth - Um...basically the same stuff I said above.

DragonBall Z - DBZ is badass, but it takes way too long for stuff to happen. I know this is because they didn't want to get ahead of the manga so they stretched the series out as long as they could (a problem Naruto is running into now), but come on. I mean,
how long does it take to make a Spirit Bomb anyway?

Cowboy Bebop - This show is perfect...except for Ed. I know she's meant to challenge/make fun of the "annoying kid" anime stereotype, but the fact is that she's still an annoying kid and I hate children (real or anime, doesn't matter). But even with Ed, it's perfectly paced and incredibly well-written/acted/animated.

In my spare time, I make fun of people who like Naruto. Why? Two reasons. 1) Sexy no Jutsu. I can't take a show seriously that has a special move called Sexy no Jutsu in it. 2) It IS DBZ. Proof? The main character has spikey/blonde hair/an mostly orange and partially blue outfit, everyone is really fast and/or strong, people fight all the time, and it's a billion episodes long.

I am in a similar bind. I downloaded the episodes, including the OAV, but I am trying to get the manga. I got the first two but I am looking for the next two and so on (I am buying two at a time). It would appear the bookstores are only carrying volume 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12...Go figure...They are out of stock. *debates to order them* Gravitation is really good. I love Suichi.

Even though I've already read it all, I love Lament of the Lamb. Best manga ever. I also liked the Evangelion manga a lot better than the show, from what I've seen of it.

Well, I haven't seen many anime series yet, but out of those I've seen I really liked Ghost in the Shell and Digimon (the first two seasons with the original Japanese voice cast, of course :p).

I just watched Yami no Moitsuei (Descendents of Darkness). It was a good shonen-ai with a lot of bishonen. The ending was unsatisfactory for the main villian does not die and there is no kiss or anything between the two characters who obviously have a thing for each other. Maybe they have another season, or intended to but it got cancelled? Who knows, but after 13 episodes I want more!
