First up I'll openly admit that I don't keep up with music so I'm limited to what I know was released this year. My personal favourites are...

Kano - Nite Nite
Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Going Down
The Killers - Mr. Brightside (released late 2004, though, I think)
Lifehouse - You and Me

I had to check a few lists for those songs. I didn't recognise a lot of the songs shown. :(

The only "new" music I've heard this year is Sinéad O'Connor's "Throw Down Your Arms" album from this summer.

"Dance, Dance" and "Sugar We're Going Down Swinging" - Fall Out Boy
"Not Now" - Blink 182 (Right at the end of 2005, right??)
"Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" & "Wake Me Up When September Ends" - Greenday
"Only" - /\/I\/\
"Helena" & "Ghost Of You" - My Chemical Romance
"Mr. Brightside" & "All These Things That I've Done" - The Killers

I guess those are the only ones. And these can be only songs that have videos, correct??

10 Years - "Wasteland"
Dark New Day - "Brother"

The entirety of Thrice's new album, "Vheissu".

And, this song didn't come out 2005 but I discovered it that year, Immortal Technique - Industrial Revolution. I'm usually not one for rap, but I like this song. I think it's the piano.
Plus, any song from any of the albums I named in the favorite album thread thingy.

Crash: Preferrably single releases, yeah. But I don't mind if you mention songs on albums.

And yes, Sugar, We're Going Down is better than Dance, Dance, although I like the latter a decent amount too. The former is just better. :)

Well for song that gets stuck in my head the most then it's definitely Kanye West's "Gold Digger", but I'm not saying that was my favorite song of the year. I don't know what mine is but I do know one thing

I hate Fall Out Boy. I think they're terrible

"She take my moneyy, when I'm in neeeeed..."

here we go again

I like your list. I think we're going to hear very good things from 10 Years in the future.

I don't really have a top five of 2005.
