1. Squall (he was far more developed I felt then any other FF world, the way he related to the world around him and thought about events made me love FFVIII more than any other game.)
2. Cloud (many find him similar, I found him entirely different mainly due to motives, development and everything else. I loved his backstories and the way his history interconnected with Zack and Sephiroth. The development was also excellent in my eyes.)
3. Zidane (he's a fun character. I like him and love the storyline he takes a major part of).
4. Tidus (I found him well developed and enjoyable, I liked how he fit with other characters, his talks with Auron, explanations from Lulu and other nice connections.)
5. Ramza (a very noble hero, FFT did an excellent job giving characters info and having them respond in the fashion of their character. Ramza was the epitomy of this, but lacked the development I felt was lacked in this game. The way he interracted with the development of the story was excellently done.)

Zidane: Great past story and role. He is a funloving guy who really reminds you of someone in real life, since pretty much all his actions are quite reasonable, except maby chasing after a depraved lunatic bent on killing everyone, but thats plot required.

Anyway, I'm going with Ramza. A genuine hero, and he doesn't even care that no one ever heard of him, even though he saved the world from destruction. He fought several incarnations of the devil, and walked away alive.

CLOUD ALLL THE WAY!!! Cloud and Sephiroth actually, they were the hottest hotties in all the FF's.
Cloud: Because He was nice and really hot, and had some troubles that he was brave enough to make through! (I love LOVE his tight outfit!)
Sephiroth: Because he was just the complete image of an ultimate boss. And had one of the most famous theme songs, even tho I wasnt a fan of it! (He's totally hot too)
