Anyone else have this problem? When I yawn sometimes my jaw pops out of socket and gets stuck with my mouth wide open. It hurts and is kind of scary. So, everytime I yawn I get scared my jaw is going to lock.

I hate it when that happens to me. It really really hurts. :(

According to the first aid course I did a while back, sprains and strains are best dealt with through gentle stretching of the muscles affected. So going with that, I usually just move my mouth open and closed until the pain goes away.

No that's never happened to me o_o;; If it does I think I'll cry and freak out and run away and run into a door a couple times. The dentist said I have a small mouth, though D=

Not really. Though I have very clicky joints. My wrist & ankle joints click all the time when I rotate them.

I have very clicky joints. Most people can only crack their knuckles once every couple of hours but I can just keep going and going and going and going and going.

I can crack my toes, my back, my neck, my elbows, my knees, my ankles. It's all very cool.

It happened to my best friend after she had been chewing gum for awhile. It freaked us out.

Haha, that'd be so awesome. Imagine watching a bee flying into your mouth and not being able to do anything about it.
It would be even better if your hands and legs were tied to a pole and having flowers inside your mouth.

It happens to me when I open my mouth wide to yawn or eat some massive burger or something, but although it clicks out of place and hurts a lot, I'm still able to unclick it quite easily after a second or two.

Your not the only one. Both my and my boyfriend suffer from this. Its a horrid feeling cause Im terrfied to snap my jaw shut in case I do some damage, so I have to close my mouth slowly and look dumb!

No, but when I walk around my jaw sometimes clicks. It sounds like a metronome..

My jaw dislocates half-way every time I open it fully. It's quite scary, as it almost pops out every time, and when I open my mouth suddenly, it hurts.

What really sucks is shoulder dislocation. Dude, you haven't known pain untill you've had these. Happens to me all the time, makes me feel like a cripple. :(

Ditto that. Except mine's been doing it for about five or six years. Sometimes it stiffens up and I have to work it to get my mouth to open.

I've had my jaws locked on me once or twice before. It's rather annoying and a bit painful. :P

I've never had my jaw pop out, but it does click, a lot. It's annoying if anything.

I don't think that's ever happened with my jaw, but if I sit in just the wrong position sometimes one of my knees will pop out of joint, and I have to straigthen it to get it to pop back in. It's amazingly painful.

My jaw pops, but it doesn't lock.

Although sometimes one of the muscles in my lower jaw cramps during a yawn and it hurts like hell.
