Most of these games are neither unknown nor forgotten.

So you're saying that a lot of people know about them?

FFMQ doesn't have any Chocobos. Plus, it's the only one I've played

So what is this game about and is it any good?

It's about the elemental crystals, the elemental emperors, and a villain who doesn't show up until the game is almost over. Sort of like a very, very, very barebones version of FFIV's plot. Whether it's good or not is a matter of dispute. I'd say it's mediocre--playable, but a bit boring.

I've partially played Mystic Quest, but it was too cheesy, and tried to see how Bahamut Lagoon is.

Bahamut lagoon was pretty fun. You raise dragons for battle, and every dragon has a master you also control. Don't remember much about it though. Mystic quest is about a warrior releasing the seals on the crystals so that you can fight and defeat the dark evil king guy. ENjjoyable, but a little boring and easy.

Chocobo Racing is the best Mario Kart clone ever. In fact, it's better than Mario Kart as well.

The thing that makes FFMQ interesting is the main hero. He's just an ordinary kid (even the manual describes him as being very ordinary) who suddenly gets this quest thrown on him by a strange old man who never explains anything, which always prompts this wonderful "WTF?" expression from the hero. This is a good thing because it's hilarious. I mean seriously, if some old guy came up to you, gave you a sword and said "I need to go save the crystals, oh btw there's a Behemoth right behind you d00d" how would you react?

I haven't played any but have heart of them so the poll options didn't work for me... so I voted that I hadn't heard of any.
