From what I've seen and heard, it's actually fairly simple and easy. All it requires is to click buttons, at least in the stage where you turn Ariel into a human.

The minigame is pretty simple. Watch what's going on on-screen and hit the button at the right time. You'll see little circles appear, you have to time it so you hit the button when they're in the orangeish area.
